Rhonen's Pov
I had stormed off to take care of some pack business and cool down. Why was she so difficult. I was trying my best to show her love and affection and all so does is throws it right back in my face. Quite frankly I was frustrated at her for not accepting me. I mean she's my mate. Are mates not close to each other?
When I came back a few hours later my splendid mother had put her to bed which I was very thankful for. The small wolf that was my mate lay curled up under my blanket made from one ot my kills. A decent sized bear. We were not like Southerners. We were more on the tribal side while they took in the ways of the humans. Scum as I like to call them. They have done nothing but hunt us for ages.
I sighed and grabbed my mother's forearm as she did mine. It was a greeting that was common amongst Northerners. I gave her a faint smile thanking her for helping Arabella before she left. I climbed in bed with her and wrapped my arms around her furry form to keep her warm. The air had smelled a bit of which usually meant there would be a storm. I also didn't want to waking up alone and scared since I didn't know if she was afraid or was even used to hail.
I gently pet her head wanting her to feel safe. I just wasn't good with all of this stupid lovey dovey stuff. I was trying for her though. The Moon Goddess has really blessed me this time. I was gifted with such a beautiful mate. I'm sure her personality is just as amazing as her gorgeous looks.
I felt my eyes start to droop and blinking to become longer. I smiled softly and kissed her furry forehead before I let myself fall fast asleep.
