Chapter VII

AN: THIS IS SET BEFORE THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER. THIS TAKES PLACE AFTER RHONEN FALLS ASLEEP.ITS A FOLLOW UP TO CHAPTER V

Rhonen's Pov

   Unfortunately I had woken up before her as we lay there I was lost in my thoughts. Why was she so small?

   'Does it matter? She's out mate.' My wolf was most certainly not happy with me due to how I had treated her before and quite frankly I don't blame him. I had treated her badly.

   'Maybe because she will be filling the North with me.' I was frustrated. She was supposed to be the Luna, but was far too tiny. Any of my wolves could an app her in one bite. Not to mention she was supposed to bare my pups. They needed to be strong.

   I made up my mind after a bit of arguing with my wolf. I carefully stood up and picked her up gently. I made sure she was comfortable and still asleep before I wrapped her up in elk skin before taking her to the healer den.

   "Alpha! What a pleasant surprise! Please come in!" The lady invited my in. We were quite close as she had helped me plenty of times after fights where I had to prove my strength to the pack.

   I walk in with my mate secured in my arms. "Hello, Miss Judith." I sit down on one of the beds she has for her patients before laying my beautiful mate on the bed with her head in my lap. I gently pet her head as I start explaining my situation.

   "I met my mate a few years ago. I can't tell as rogues usually don't have a scent, but I think she was a rouge whenever she was caught by patrol." I sigh as I run my right hand through my dark brown hair as I continue to pet her with my left. "She is small, but is not small enough to be a Southerner, right?" I looked up at her hoping to hear something that would at least indicate that she agreed with me. All I was met with was a conflicted look. "Not necessarily. The King of the Southerners is outraged at the moment.-" I quickly interrupted not liking where this was going. "Yeah. I know about it. That whole thing with his daughter running away. Are you suggesting this is her?" I gave her a hard warning glare. "Look, Alpha, all I'm saying is that it IS A possibility that she is a Southerner." I felt my mate shift around in my lap. 'That is why I'm here. I would like you to test her for it.' I mind linked her and watched as she went to retrieve a syringe and a tube to put her blood in.

   When she came back and poked the needle into my mate's neck I watched my mate struggle. I was about to growl before Judith mind linked me. 'Don't. She's only and you'll only scare her more.' I held back my growls as my beautiful mate cried out. I held her to me trying to comfort her.
