Arabella's Pov

I woke up feeling warm a cozy except for the cold metal collar around my neck. Memories of what happened before I fell asleep flooded my head and the first thought in my head was that I was dead. I certainly do not hope so.

My chocolate brown eyes finally flutter open and my senses start to return. Oh what was that smell? It had me intoxicated and I wanted more, but first I had no clue as to where I was.

I got up off of my ass and went to look around. I was sniffing everything feeling eyes burning into the back of my head. I turn to see a gorgeous man with an amused look on his face, but there was no smile. He had one eye brow arched as he stared at me.

I wasn't one to easily submit, but he had me wanting to crawl in a corner whimpering with my tail tucked in between my legs. I moved completely arose the den from him and stood there defensively. My ears were pinned back and my lips curled up in a snarl as a growl broke out from my throat. It was a warning for him not to get closer.

His amusement was long gone from his face. There was a hint of hurt in his eyes for reasons I didn't know. An elderly lady came in breaking our staring contest with a bowl of raw meat and a bowl of water.

"Oh my dear!" The old lady exclaimed and got down and sat on the ground making herself appear smaller. In doing so she placed the bowls down. I was going to starve or thirst to death if I didn't eat or drink so I slowly and cautiously moved to her. I felt two pairs of eyes on me as I reached the bowls.

I stood there with my nose in the food waiting to be hit, but it never came so I started chowing down. "Rhonen what is this?" The old lady motioned to the collar. "I didn't know how she would react." He spoke bluntly. The fur on the back of my neck stood up at the males voice. My wolf was screaming something, but I couldn't quite make out whatever it was.

The old lady sighed. She moved the collar back enough to see if my previous wound had healed, which it had. "Hello dear. My name is Idonea, and that brute over there is my son. He's-" She was cut off by her son. His deep voice spoke once again making me look at him.  "Alpha Rhonen. Just Call me Rhonen." He was much closer than before and the growling started up again as I moved behind Idonea. She shooed him back making him sigh in defeat as he sat back on the bed. "My dear can you shift please?" I looked at her dumbfounded. No way am I shifting in front of them! I don't want to be taken if front of others! "Rhonen, my dear, give her a shirt." Idonea was petting down my back she, for some odd reason made me feel safe.

A shirt was thrown at me making me shake my head to get it off. I glare at him as the corners of his lips twitched into a smile for a second. I huffed and waited for them to look away. Idonea was the first to under stand, but Rhonen took a bit more convincing. I growled again and he looked at me amused as he turned around with his hand shoved into his pockets. As soon as I shifted I quickly pulled the shirt over my head. Idonea was the first to turn around.

"You're so pretty!" She placed her hands on my cheeks giving them a slight pull. "Now what's your name, sweet pea?" The old lady had such a calming aurora that calmed my anxiety. "Arabella."
