Taraji sipped her wine looking around the restaurant. Playing with her bracelets she wondered why she was really here. Terrence was wrong yes but using her energy to be angry with him was going to be draining. It already was, two weeks since she said she was done. Did she mean it? Mentally yes and emotionally yes.....but then that brain of hers got to thinking. She's said she's done so many times before....then was bouncing on his dick sitting days.

After agreeing to a second blind date she was feeling like a clown. They were supposed to meet at 7:30. She herself was 15 minutes late and now that she was here he was 25 minutes late. Groaning she texted Jussie.

Taraji: By 8:10 if he's not here I'm leaving.

Jussue: You better and kick Shunta ass again. Anyways....How are you today?

Taraji: Fine. I know everybody's been talking about me and Terrence. I don't know what the fuck was wrong with him today but he had me fucked up. That argument was nothing...it would help if you spread that we are okay.

Jussie: Got it.

She sighed looking around again. Thinking about that had her all types of irritated again. Terrence took it upon hiself to be an ultimate asshole. He came in halfway through the day from gods knows were just angry. Then he learned about her new love interest and that pissed him off even more. Lucious and Cookie were beefing but he didn't have to be as mean as he was.

So she pulled him to the side to talk, but he just blew up at her. So she blew up back both of them embarrassing themselves in front of everyone. Luckily they kept it work centered even though the underlying issue was them together.

"Niggas..." She grumbled checking the time. Suddenly a shadow looked over her. Looking up she gave a slight confused smile.

"Kelvin right?" She questioned, he nodded flashing her a smile.

"You never called." He pouted, she chuckled lightly.

"I'm very busy. If I'm being honest I forgot about you hun. I have a lot going on." She sighed, he frowned taking a seat.

"Tell me about it. You look like you need fresh ears." He offered.

"Actually.....I'm expecting someone." She muttered not trying to sound rude.

"Same actually. I think I been stood up." He laughed looking around.

"Last time I let my homeboy hook me over. Never met the girl but she was supposed to be here." He threw out catching Taraji's attention. She choked on her drink eyeing him.

"We're you supposed to meet someone at 7:30?" She asked.

"Yeah actually. Blind date stuff, my homies girl has a friend that I'm supposed to be meeting."

"Her name Ashunta?" Taraji tossed out, he nodded then caught on. The both of them sharing a laugh as he got comfortable now knowing he didn't have to get up. This had to be his lucky day.

"Well look at that. Seems like we were destined to have dinner. Kelvin Hayden...nice to meet you." He spoke deciding against dropping her name. He had to play his role.

"Taraji P. Henson....So I guess we can order and talk." She responded starving. He nodded opening his menu. Taraji was skeptical of him not sure if he was like that other dude she met. As the hours ticked she found he was the exact opposite. A complete gentlemen for the most part. He had some personality to him that she liked. He was very confident in hiself borderline pushing her tolerance but he made up for that with humour. She found herself actually having a good time.
