Walking towards the trailers Taraji yawned. Today was another late wrap, it was just past midnight and she was ready for her bed especially being that today was now Saturday which meant a late call time. She wouldn't have to be back here for 8 hours which seemed like nothing but with her schedule it was everything. She was incredibly thankful for Apryl as an assistant, all her things were ready for her to grab and go. Grabbing her things she answered an incoming call from Kelvin."Hey you make it safe?" She questioned leaving her trailer. Heading for the parking lot.
"Yeah, was gonna text but I just wanted to hear your voice and say hello beautiful." He responded, she giggled tightening her jacket around her body. That harsh winter air attacking her.
"Well hello to you." She responded hitting the unlock button on her car. Something in her told her to look up when she made it to her car. Her eyes connecting with Hazel greens a few parking spaces away. She could faintly hear Kelvin rambling on about his day. She found herself unable to look away. The immense hurt in his eyes pushing more weight on her shoulders.
"Are you listening to me? Taraji? Hello?"
"I'm listening Kay." She responded snapping out of the stare down. Terrence's eyes darkened hearing the nickname. Looking away Taraji climbed into her car pulling off in record time. He sighed watching her car drive away. It had been a week since he discovered her boo. This whole week he had drunken himself into comas. It was easier then dealing with it. His head still not wrapping around the fact that she wanted someone else over him.
He had done his fair share of dirt to her. He's hurt her like no one else.....it was weird finding himself on the other side. She had hurt him before every time she fell off the face if the earth with their kids. That shit hurt but this pain.....this pain was deeper than that. He wasn't perfect but god damn it no one was. She for damn sure wasn't.
He was here open arms no strings atacked and she was just not with it. Getting in his car he started his drive home. He kept telling himself to give up like she was doing. She was making it seem like it was so damn easy. It wasn't everyone time he sat down and said fuck it he thought and thought on the years that had passed. How she was always the one fighting for them. Now the roles has reversed and he was feeling how it felt to want someone who was pushing you away.
That alone made him want to keep fighting for her. He just had to get rid of whatever son of a bitch was in her phone. As soon as he figured who he was. In the meantime he was going to have to try a new route. Being the sweet gentle Terrence was getting him no where. If he had to be the big bad wolf to get him to see him so be it. He wanted to try to be reasonable Terrence, take things slow. All Taraji knew or wanted to see was old Terrence so she was about to get him.
Meanwhile......
Heaven sat on her bed staring at the ceiling of her bedroom deep off in her thoughts. It was starting to become her normal. After hours of practice and then hours of practicing at home she showered and then found herself on her bed staring up at the ceiling. A few consistent things running through her mind. Her parents.....the two of them could stress out the most relaxed person on the planet.
After losing 200 bucks to Hunter she started to really think about their relationship. Maybe Marcel was right it was time for the two of them to give it a rest, someone always got hurt....always. Things could go good for two weeks, then two months, even two years....then just crash. When she was younger she wasn't the number one supporter for them but as she got older she was realizing that not just her parents ended up hurt. So did the kids no matter how they tried to keep it between the adults it trickled past that.
Was she fucked up for not wanting Lani to deal with Terrence being around so much that suddenly he disappeared and just called. In truth it was her fault Lani even knew him now. She sighed every time she dove into the rabbit hole that was TNT she got mixed feelings. In life all she's ever really wanted was that big happy family. That happiness and love Alice used to tell them about.
