Izuku made his way back in to bed before closing his eyes. He had lied. He had no intention of calling the nurse for his broken rib he'd dealt with them himself before and he was due to be discharged tomorrow. The discovery of his injury would extend his stay, he was more that ready to leave already as he had wasted enough time wishing. He was ready to start doing what it took to be a hero.

When izuku got home progress was slow, he spent more time on his face than on his feet as he tripped over everything and anything, but he was improving. He spent every-waking hour either walking around the house trying to feel were objects were with his senses translating his hero notes into brail with the help of his mother building up his strength or practicing all the hero moves/martial arts he'd analyzed over the years that didn't require a quirk.

One year later izuku (now 12) had mastered his senses. He couldn't see with his eyes but he could feel the movement of air on his skin, hear the beat of a heart, smell a wire running though a wall, taste the acidity of the air. He no longer needed a stick to avoid walking into things he could navigate through a crowd with ease, Infact he was much more aware of his surroundings than he had been before he lost his sight. There were however things he couldn't do. He couldn't read or write in anything except brail. He couldn't tell what colour the sky was. Videos were useful only for the sound they put out. Pictures became utterly useless to him. But worse of all, he would never again be able to look in to his mothers eyes. The thing that kept him going for all those years of pain, no matter how useless he felt he could always look into his mothers eyes and see she still loved him. He could never do that again. Of course his mother showed her love to him in many other ways but there wasn't much izuku wouldn't give to see his mothers eyes filled to the brim with love one last time.

Inko midoryia was still working two jobs to afford the tutor izuku now required as he was unable to go to pubic school. As much as izuku hated this is was useful as it meant he had pleantly of time to himself, and he would need it as after he had mastered his sense he was ready to go on to the second part of his plan. He used his specialized laptop, (he built it himself so he could use it whist blind) to research underground fighting rings. In less than two days he'd found one near him.

As soon as his tutor left the izuku grabbed his mask, it was very simple, nothing more than a masquerade mask without wholes for the eyes and pulled on his all might hoody, amused by the irony, and headed out. He knew were he was going before hand as his laptop had read out specific instructions on how to get there. He reached a seemingly deserted ally, however the throng of people her could hear underneath him suggested otherwise. He reached a metal drainage cover in the center of the ally and crouched down knocking on it 3 times he stepped back and the heavy cover was lifted and then pushed to the side. Inside the cover was a man skinny man, he looked up at izuku and asked, "password?"

With an innocent smile izuku replied, "hung drawn and quartered"

The man shook his head at izukus obviously young age but disappeared down the hole allowing izuku to follow him down the ladder."

When they got to the bottom the man asked, "betting or battering?"

"Battering, if all goes well." Stated izuku still smiling.

The skinny man had seen all kinds of fighter come through here, yet the boy's expression of pure innocence scared him more than anyone else had. As he new if the boy had ended up here he was far from innocent and yet, he almost couldn't help lowering his guard. He shook of the question and continued his standard questions as the boy with a little bounce in his step followed him.

"Quirk?"

"I'm quirkless" replied izuku happy as ever.

"Kid we have someone who can tell exactly what quirk someone's has." Said the man annoyed he hated when people tried to pretend to be quirkless to get the upper hand he had quirkless friends himself and it was degrading to them.

"Well arnt they lucky" replied deku a tiny hint of venom in his voice.

The skinny man sighed he'd just have to ask Jason to check the boys quirk.

"Name?"

"You know it's impolite to ask someone's name without giving one of your own. I'll show you how it's done" said izuku as the skinny man turned to him In disbelief.

"Kid I'm not the person you wanna mess-" Started the skinny man but he was cut of by izuku.
"Hi I'm deku, what's your name,"

Taken off guard and looking straight at the face that even half covered oozed innocence, he replied automatically. "Daniel." Barley a millisecond later deku was pinned to the wall by Daniel who whispered, "who the hell are you some kind of spy with a truth quirk?"

Deku ignored him and shouted at the door they had just reached, "Jason can you come and check my quirk please, I'm quirkless but dan-" a hand was slammed against his mouth.

"You even think about saying that name again and I'll cut your throat." Hissed Daniel.

"Whoa there reaper." Came Jason's smooth voice with a hint of a southern drawl , deku had been listening in on the conversation in the room they were headed to and had gathered the quirk reader Daniel had mentioned was the boss and he was called Jason. "your supposed to bring them to me not kill them," he then turned to deku who had been released by Daniel, "how do you know my name kid"

"I heard it," replied deku honestly smile bigger than even.

Jason nodded then turned back towards the door hollering over his shoulder, "you coming or not,"

"Yes" replied deku excitedly as he ran to catch up with Jason, "bye Da- oops i mean reaper."
He caught up with Jason and followed him in to the room at the end of the corridor ignoring the murderous aura behind him. The room was large and there currently held 23 people, not including himself of Jason. He was led to a table in the center of the room with a seat on each side fully aware of everyone's eyes following him, "so you wanna be a fighter kid, I'm impressed we don't usually get people so young." Started Jason taking a seat at one side of the desk. Deku nodded before taking the seat opposite it.

"Why did reaper look like he wanted to kill you?" Asked Jason clearly amused.

"Oh that's because he did" answered deku happily.

"Not what I meant kid," pushed Jason but deku just tilted his head to the side with a look of confusion.

"Fine give me your hand, I need to know what your quirk is to see if your eligible for the ring. I warn you it will be painful, my quirk screens every part of your quirk its not gentle."

Deku put out his hand and Jason took it, everyone in the room seemed to hold their breath for a second but nothing happened, dekus grin remained in place and Jason's eye widened. "Your quirkless?" He asked.

"As the day I was born" replied deku.
