Chapter 4

~Shadow's POV~
Everything came crashing down on me all at once first Maria now sonic.
"Shadow cmon we have to go." Said Amy.
"No..." I choked...
"Shadow..."
"I SAID NO! I'm not leaving him... w-we were going to have a baby when we came back from vacation then this stupid virus happens... he didn't deserve this..." I fell to the ground and sobbed pitifully.
"I know shadow we feel your pain... let's go home we can have the funeral tomorrow Okay?" Asked tails while hugging me.
"O-okay..." I Said. I stood up and followed them out the door but not without kissing Sonics forehead. As I walked out I felt a slight chill on my shoulder.

~the next day~

Everyone was at the church wearing black. I walked in and sat in the front row holding red and blue roses. I see the priest walking and stand in front of the podium.
"We are gathered here today to help sonic the hedgehog reach heaven to meet with god with our prayers." The priest walks away from the podium as I stand up and walk to the podium.
"Sonic the hedgehog. He was the hero of Mobius, brother to others, and he was my husband. We were married for 2 years. He is my everything. He broke my shell of being emotionless and he loved me just as much as I love him. So I wish for the best for him and god to take care of my love. Amen." I walked down and tails pat my back for support. The priest walked back to the podium and we all stood up and prayed.
"Receive the Lord's blessing. The Lord bless you and watch over you. The Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord look kindly on you and give you peace; In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."Congregation: "Amen."
I walked up to him and put the flowers in his hand and kissed his forehead as me walked out with him in the casket. I watched as they buried him with a gravestone up top that said, "here lies sonic the hedgehog. Hero of Mobius, and husband to shadow. R.I.P."
I Cried on the gravestone.
"Shadow~" I heard a voice next to my ear. And I cried harder.
"I love you."

~Sonic's POV~
I watched shadow crying on my gravestone as a ghost. This was all my fault. He's miserable because of me. I moved over to his ear.
"Shadow~" he cried harder. "I love you." I hugged him and he whimpered and leaned against mess if he knew I was there. I pull his hand to me. I wanted to run with him again.
"Sonic? What are you doing?"
I pulled his hand again.
"Okay but no tricks from your ghostly form." I smiled as he stood up and got ready to run.
"On your mark, get set... go!" We took off and we were already under our tree where we got married I tugged his hand.
"Alright its a tie." Shadow chuckles. I smile but start coughing up blood. Even if I'm a ghost I still have EEE. I hug him and cried on him.

~No POV~

Sonic was crying on shadow while coughing at the same time. Shadow hugged sonic as if he was still there and swayed slightly.
"No matter what sonic, I'll always believe you are with me."
Sonic smiled and kissed him on the cheek and they stayed there watching the sunset.
