The Thorn In My Side

(Andromeda POV)

Uncle Hades told me to leave as soon as I was suited up. I shadow travel back home,I don't see mom so she must have gone to Olympus, I quickly write a note and leave it on the counter. Running to my room I quickly open up my closet, looking through it I tried to choose the most badass clothes I can find, wanting to impress Bianca while also intimidating everybody else. After few minutes I found the perfect thing.

Perfect, I think to myself. As soon as I got dressed I grab some of my concealed weapons. Putting some in my combat boots, belt loops, and gloves. I transform my sword into its ring form, I can make it turned back into a sword by Taking It Off. As soon as I'm ready I shadow travel to a Woods in Maine, near Westover Hall. As I'm trekking through the woods towards the school, I see flashes of silver fabric. I quickly deduced the hunters of Artemis had come to the demigods aid. Deciding that running would take too long, I shadow travel to the edge of the Woods. I take in everything that is going on, I see the Manticore with its arms wrapped around Bianca's neck, threatening kill her if the hunters of Artemis shoot. I panicked slightly. Looking around at everything else I saw that Artemis and her lieutenant were pointing their bows at thorn and that the three demigods are pointing their weapons at him, Nico was somewhere behind them. I take a deep breath, and gain my neutral and stoic personality that I put up during missions and around people I don't know or don't trust." Thorn, put the girl down or I'll send you back to Hades the hard way, I've done it once I'll do it again." I said calmly, but loud enough to everybody heard. Everyone's heads swiveled towards me, and Thorn looked panicked and started back in towards the cliff." No! I won't go back there not like last time. If I'm going back to Tartarus I'm doing it on my own terms and I'm taking this one with me." He said frantically, gesturing towards Bianca she was still in his clutches. I saw him backing up towards the cliff obviously about to jump, and then he did."NO!" Nico and I yelled at the same time." Damn, this is a brand-new f****** shirt." I said. All heads turned towards me, obviously thinking I was mocking her death. But then started to panic when they saw me running towards the edge of the cliff. I could hear people screaming for me not to in the background, but I knew I'd be fine. As soon as I jumped I did something that I rarely do, I Unleashed My wings. I know what you're thinking, how does the biological daughter of Poseidon and adopted daughter of Hestia who is blessed by Hades have wings? And to answer your question I went on a quest for Thanatos a while back, and as my reward he gave me wings but I rarely use them as it was very painful Unleashed them from my back. I could feel the extra limbs ripping through my shirt and the skin of my back right between the shoulder blades, I screamed in pain the quickly collected myself remembering the task at hand. Flapping my wings vigorously so as to catch up to Thorne and Bianca who were a few yards below me. As soon as I caught up to them I threw one of my knives at thorn, and as soon as he turned into yellow dust I grabbed Bianca by the arm and brought her close to me. I quickly flew back up wincing slightly with each flap of my wings because of the time it took for the skin to heal around them. As soon as I landed everybody looked at me in shock,wondering why, I look down and realized that number one, because of my wings ripping through my shirt it had fallen off and I was standing there  on full display, and secondly, of course Were My Wings. the demigods and Hunter pointed their weapons at me but Artemis look at my wings in awe, obviously recognizing their resemblance with thanatos's. "Lower your weapons girls, you as well demigods. I do not believe she is a threat" Artemis commands. Suddenly I realize that I'm still holding on to Bianca, I looked down at her face to see her blushing and looking at my wings in amazement. That's when it hit me, the pain. I could feel the blood running down my back and the torn flesh around the wings, I quickly retracted them into my back but the wounds were still there. Starting to feel slightly light-headed I put Bianca down and said one thing "Catch me." And promptly passed out.

(Bianca POV)

When doctor Thorne grabbed me I was terrified, looking around I saw girls my age in silver outfits pointing their bows at me or more accurately at thorn. I looked over to Nico, he had a terrified expression on his face. But then I Heard a Voice, it was calm but I could hear an underlining tone of worry. She was telling him to put me down, which I was grateful for but he wasn't listening, obviously afraid of the mystery girl. He started talking in a panicked tone about how he was going to die on his own terms and take me with him. I realized he was about to jump off the cliff with me in his arms and as soon as he did I screamed bloody murder. I thought I would see my life flash before my eyes, but all I saw was a dark angel coming to save me. But I can almost feel the pain radiating off of her, she pulled out a knife and threw it at thorn who dissolved into a golden dust. She grabbed me by my arm and brought me close to her, looking up at her face I saw the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. She was graceful yet tough-looking and very muscular for a girl especially one my age. She had brownish black hair and the most entrancing eyes that looked like a stormy red and black ocean with streaks of silver and blue.

But she looked very strained, sweat making her hair stick to her face but that somehow made her more beautiful, I know that sounds weird but it did. She quickly flew us back to the cliff, and I blushed  because  her shirt and  bra had ripped and falling off, showcasing her large assets. retracted her wings back into her back. I quickly noticed the gaping wounds where her wings previously were, blood gushing out of them. She turned towards me and said "Catch me." And passed out in my arms.
