Chapter 7-Day 1, 9:15 pm

"You're acting weird, Kiva," Kelson said.

"I've met someone from my past," Kiva replied.

"You don't have to tell me the story of your brother all over again."

"His name is Lindsay, not Eustus."

"Well, why did you change his name?"

"Because he never did for us. However, I think I know the truth. He had PTSD from that and sending that anger on war torn seas seemed to cure him, sort of. I feel he thinks I pushed Akron to do all of that as an act of revenge. At least he never published those 'Agency Stories'".

Kiva burst into tears, Kelson quickly embraced her.

Kelson whispered in her ear, "I loved you from the day we met."

"Well, guess you didn't confess because agents can't date other agents?" Kiva asked.

"Exactly, but now we both are off the lake-"

"No, no, no!"

"Fine." Kelson retreated.

"It's not about, Kelson, I haven't felt love since Akron hanged himself. I experimented in college, and it was gone. I'm asexual."

"Who else knows?"

"Only you, but I've known since the day I arrived at Groom Lake."

Chapter 8-Day 2, Sunrise

Christine did not sleep well and was up with the sun. Unlike some nights where she had cohesive flashbacks, she was flooded with various fragments that seemed to center on Akron. She decided to see what was left in Kiva's fridge. Expired Chobani, expired eggs, expired milk.

'She's been gone for that long?' Christine thought.

Christine heard Kiva's door open. "I didn't expect to be layed off 2 months ago."

"I'll take care of it," Christine said.
"Give me ten minutes and we can go for a jog."

With the expired food disposed of, they took a jog over to the 7Eleven to replace the eggs and milk.

"Did you check the cereal?" Kiva asked.

"Eggs and Milk is about all we can carry," Christine said.

"Fair enough, but seriously?"

"No."

After leaving the story, Christine mentioned her dream.

"It was not Lindsay's fault?!" Kiva was confused.

"He said, 'how dare my fellow people resort to sacrificing my soul for theirs-".

"I'm just scared about what will happen when Lalia happens, if we don't stop her."

"We promised we wouldn't let the world find out."

Chapter 9-Day 2, 11 am

The unavailing of the Demon Ruby was scheduled for 11am, but they arrived at the Luxor at 10 to ask about safety.

"It's case is bullet proof," one guard stated.

"We have people working overtime just in case," another said.

The pyramid was already crowded with buzz from the new exhibition.

Kiva whispered to Kelson, "I fear a certain pairing of collection pieces might make bullet proof like nothing."

The mayor of Las Vegas came to the podium outside of the exhibit's entrance. The pyramid suddenly became quiet. "Good morning patrons. Today, the Luxor Las Vegas has had a privilege to bring a French gem on loan to the United States."
