But you still manage to hide it.
However,
Once you decide to not stay silent.

Once you decide to talk about it.
Once you allow others to see all of your vulnerabilities.
They start calling you all sorts of names.
Claiming that all you're saying is balderdash.
Stating that you're overreacting_
Never let anyone tell you that it was easy.
Cuz no one has ever engaged in the war you have within.
No one has ever witnessed the blood and the corpses
That's covering your courtyard.
No one has ever been through the storm you have within.
So no one knows that you're a survivor.
No one knows how much courage it needs to speak your mind,
You have today.
Bring out your pain and express it.
Have you ever seen someone who has been shot,
And didn't bleed ?
Or didn't suffer from the pain it brings ?
Never act like it didn't hurt.
Never act like it didn't tore you apart.
Never suppress your pain.
You're a human being, not a machine.
So when it hurts,
It hurts.
