When I was facing my room, it was quiet large. I set my bag near the door then walked in further to observe the suroundings. I was glad for them to have a window to see what the weather would like. After exploring the room and bathroom, I walked to my bag and opened it to take out five candles. I placed each of them in a star like shape, I went back to bag of one of the small pockets and tookout the lighter that I recieved as a gift. Memories of the person flashed behind my eyes, I clenched the lighter to a tight fist close to my chest with closed eyes. "Don't worry," I whispered "I will get you out of there." Unclenching it, I lit up the lighter and held it over the candles to catch on fire. After I finished each of them, I crawled to the middle and started to chant. Minutes passed as I finished, I didnt want anyone to hear or smell whats going on in here. I blew out the candles, then placed them back in my bag lighter included. Zipping up the bag, I looked around for a great place to hide it in, moments later I did. Making sure no on can see it, I looked out the window to see it was pitch black. I then yawned as I made my way to the bed.
The sun streamed through the window as I woke up. I got up from bed then made my way to the restroom after I grabbed spear clothes from my bag. Finished getting ready, a knock sounded on my door. My hair was still as I opened the door, when I did Alec was there with his hand behind his back. "Morning." I said, as I crossed my arms over my chest. "Morning," he replied with no emotion, I slightly tilted my head to the side as I studied him. "You seem down, whats wrong?" I uncrossed my arms, then let my right hand grasp his. I tugged him inside my room, when he was fully in I closed the door behind him. "You can sit on the bed if you want." I stated as I pulled a chair near me, he then walked to the bed and sat down facing me with his back straight. I pulled my chair close to him as I was arms length from him when I sat down. We stared at ech other for a moment, I then looked at his hands when they were on his lap. I grabbed one of them and smoothed out his hand with my thumb as I examened them with curiosity. "Does it feel weird when I touch your hand, Alec?" I questioned, still caressing his hand. I smiled when I finally looked up at him. "You want me to do it agian." I stated, he stared at me then slightly nodded. I smiled this brought his hand lose to my lips as I started to chant the same words I did the other time.
Color started to appear, I sooned stopped when it reached to his elbow. I knew he had his eyes trained on me, "I'm sorry Alec." I whispered, I slowly looked up at him. When I did, he looked at me with confusion, I gave him as sad smile. "If we would have saved you first, you wouldn't have to experiance the things you did. And for that I apologize." I looked back down at his hand, then I heard him speak, "But my sister would have." I continued to caress his hand as I whispred, "No she wouldn't. They would have saved the both of you, thats more than they offered to the others." I got up from the chair and left Alec on the bed, I then walked to the middle of the room. As I tured around to face Alec, he was within a feet away from me. I was surprised at first, but then let it pass for I to get used to it. He looked at me curiosly then asked, "How did you know about us?" I looked at him straight in the eyes and said with a smirk, "I have my ways." I walked past him, as I went to the door. I turned to him, "Come on, were going to the city." I opened the door, then turned around as I saw Alec a couple feet away from me, I smiled then exited the room with him close behind.
We were in the city walking the streets, Alec was next to me with his cloak on. We walked for while until we came across a Cafe that I've fancy when I first came here. As we were sitting under the shade the Cafe provided, I ordered a cup of coffee. We sat in silence not knowing what to talk about, so he broke the silence. "How long have you been to Volterra?" he asked, I turned to him when I placed my hands on the table. "What makes you ask that?" I questioned, even though I've been here for a while. "You speak the language fluently. I must ask" I glanced down on my hands then replied. "I've been here for awhile."
My drink soon came, I thanked the waitress when she gave it to me. After taking a sip, I put the drink down and asked, "Why are here?" he looked at me confused, so I continued. "Why are you here with me? Aren't you supposed to be with the rest of your crew or something?" He soon understood as he leaned forward. "I find you intriguing." I turned away from me and growled out. "Well you shouldn't. Death follows where I go, I'm just putting you in danger." He was about to reply when someone interuppted us. "Its fancy seeing you here Nicole," I turned to the person to see Jane, looking at me. I only smiled, she then turned her gaze to her brother. "with my brother." She gave him a blank stare then said, "Aro wishes to speak with you Alec. Don't want to keep him waiting." He excused himself, as he got up and made his way to the building. Jane then turned to me, with blank eyes and said, "He also wishes to speak with you."
