I had just dropped Roger off at the house. I made sure he had everything he needed. While I was there, I also pulled the television wire. He wasn't supposed to watch TV with a concussion, and I knew he would try to.

Maggie was sleeping in the backseat when I pulled up at the store. She looked so peaceful, but I had to bring her with me. I picked her up and put her in the carry crib, then walked to the shopping center. I went into a smaller shop that sold clothing. The same shop Roger first took me to after we met. He bought me my favorite necklace here that I always wear.

I walked to the back where all the toys and children's clothes were. I went to the small corner where all the baby clothes were and started to look through them all. After picking a few baby onesies, I went over to the toys. I wanted to get her a really nice stuffed animal or shape set.

As I was going through, a man came up to me. He looked rather friendly. He was super tall, but his smile made him seem like a good guy. "What an adorable baby." He said.

"Oh, uh, yeah thank you." I replied. I smiled back at him.

"You know, I have a kid myself, and I found that these," He picked up a box with cut out shapes, "Are the best thing to buy for an infant. It trains their brain to understand shapes and stuff."

"Oh, well, maybe I'll get that then." I said. He handed me the box and I put it with the rest of my stuff. "Thank you, sir."

"Kenneth. Or just Ken, you know, what ever you prefer." He said, shrugging his shoulders.

I smiled a bit more, amused with his personality. "OK, Kenneth, my names Kellen."I replied.

He laughed, "Very similar!" I chuckled a bit too. It wasn't that funny though. "Hey, so when ever you're ready, I can check you out up front."

"Oh, you work here?" I said. I honestly thought he was just a customer.

"Yes, I started working here just today. Did you know that all the things in this store are home made?" He said.

I nodded my head. "So I've been told." I lifted my necklace off my head, showing it to him. "My Fiance' got this for me here."

He smiled, "What a beautiful necklace. Those moon ones are expensive. It's nice to have someone who cares so much." He said.

"Yeah, I guess so. Especially considering the fact we weren't even officially dating when he bought it."

His eyes went wide. "Wow, he must really be a good guy then, huh?"

"Yeah, he is." I laughed. "Well, see you up front."

He turned in waved. "See you there!"

I went through a few more toys and clothes before deciding I had everything needed here. I walked over to the counter where Kenneth was at. He was typing on a computer. While he was pricing my items, we had another conversation, this time about his own family. His wife, kids and him had moved down here recently to be closer to his parents. Apparently his dad was sick and in the hospital and it's just been getting worse. It really made me feel bad for him. Since he was loosing something he really loved. With my dad, I never loved him, so it was different.

Next stop was the grocery store. I needed to buy some more things of baby food for Magnolia. When we entered the building, the first  thing I noticed was another man. This time, he didn't look so friendly. He looked at me and immediately turned away. It really freaked me out, but I kept walking to the back of the store. When I got there, I looked through the isles until I found what I needed. I picked out a few different flavors and jars and packed them into my cart. When I turned around, the man was standing close by.

I stepped back, getting more and more scared. "Don't worry, Kellen. This won't be difficult unless you make it." He said in a hushed tone. Before I could turn and run, he grabbed me and stuck something against my back. A gun.

My breathing became heavy. I knew I had to stay calm, but I couldn't. "Please don't hurt my baby." I whispered. She was all that mattered in the moment.

"I won't. I have another plan for her. You on the other hand, are coming with me." He started walking my to the front of the store, leaving behind the cart. He didn't want to go through check out, and he didn't want to be caught. We walked out the store and approached a small red car. He shoved me into the back seat and slammed the door.

When he got into the driver seat, he turned around. I was crying and shaking. "What do you want?" I asked. All he did was smile. Before I even had time to blink, he swung the back of his gun against my head, knocking me out.

(A while later...)

I woke up in a small room. It was made of all concrete and was freezing. I was surrounded by cement, minus one wall made of metal bars. I was in a cell. I slowly raised my body off the ground. I looked around. "Maggie," I whispered. I ran to the bars, pushing at them as much as possible. "My baby! What did you do with her! You fucking devil, give me back my kid!" I yelled.

Out of the shadows, the man appeared. "Don't worry about her. She's fine. I left her on your friends porch. Goes by the name of... John? But isn't that your name?" He said.

"Deaky. His name is Deaky." I whispered. For some reason, I trusted that he was telling the truth. Enough to calm my self down. If she was with Deaky, then everything would be OK. At least everyone I knew was gonna be OK. I didn't know about myself.

"Why me?" I said.

"Because you are my bosses target. And you will suffer." With that, he disappeared back into the darkness.

I went to the back wall of the cell and sat down. I curled up in a ball against the cold wall and started to cry again. What was I gonna do? What was even happening?
