We got back to Deaky's house about 30 minutes ago. I was so glad to see Magnolia really was safe. I was glad they were gone now, the police took them away. I was glad to be with my friends and Roger and my baby. I still had a bad feeling about something, though. I just couldn't put my finger on what.

"Babe, come hear," Roger said, holding out his arms. He was siting on the sofa. I hadn't realized it, but I was pacing the floor. "You need to calm down."

"Calm down?!" I yelled. I don't know why I was so mad. I just needed to know what was going on. I was so stressed. "I'm too stressed for this, Rog."

Everyone had their eyes on me. Deaky stood up and walked over to me. "Let me talk to you."

Roger also stood up and said, "Deaky, sit down. She's mine and I should be the one talking to her."

Deaky turned around to face Roger. "Listen, Rog, you can't always be the one to help her. It's not all about you. This is something I have to talk to her about." Everyone was silent for a few long seconds. Deaky grabbed my arm and pulled me into the other room. "C'mon," He said.

I followed behind him. I honestly didn't know who to listen to. For now, though, it was gonna have to be Deaky. He was my closest friend though. Closer than Jamie, who I've known since Junior High.

Deaky sat down on the chair and pointed to the other chair. I sat down and looked at him nervously. He sighed and said, "Kk, you've been going through a lot. I know that. It's OK though. Do you realize how much better your life has been lately? Things are finally going your way and you're stressing yourself out. There's no reason to be stressed anymore."

Oh. He just doesn't realize how hard that is for me. "I've been stressing my whole life. I don't know what to do other wise." I said.

He took my hands and squeezed them. "I get that. I guess you are learning. It's just hurting us all to see you like this. We want you to get better, Kk."

Wow. That was really deep. I didn't know that what I was going through was actually affecting the others so much. It shouldn't be hurting them though. I'm no reason for them to go through any pain. Oh yeah. And the folder. I guess that's why I'm stressing out. "Uh, Deaky?" I whispered.

"What is it?" He leaned forward.

"Um, while Roger and I were in the house, I found a folder with a ton of papers in there. I barely got the chance to see what the papers were, but based off what I did see, I'm scared to open it again. I think that's why I'm so stressed out."

"What did you see?"

"Uh," I paused, thinking of how to explain this. "Well, there were a lot of names and crimes. But there was also a picture of my dad and another picture of me. I didn't get to see the rest, though."

"Kk, do you still have the folder?" He asked. I nodded my head. "Go get it."

What? I was so confused. Why did he want me to get the folder? After slight hesitation, I got up and headed for the door. I slipped by the living room, looking over at Roger on the way. He seemed so worried and sad. I felt bad that I was talking to Deaky rather him. He wanted to be a part of this and I wasn't letting him.

I went over to Roger and I's stuff and pulled out the folder. I took it back to the other room where Deaky was and through it into his lap. "There you go." I said. "May I ask, why did you want me to get it so badly?"

"We're gonna look through it." He said, opening the folder and looking up and smiling at me. Slightly scared, I sat down next to him and looked at the pages. The first page was just the information to a random family. There was a Christmas card stapled to it with the family. A mom, a dad, 3 older siblings, a baby, grandparents and a dog. For some odd reason, the baby kind of looked like Magnolia. I read through the rest of the page, but gathered no important information, besides that their names were Malone.

Deaky flipped to the next page. At the top, there was a picture of the baby from the Christmas card. It said underneath, 'Beatrice Zee Malone'. What a pretty name. 'Date of Birth was October 22nd, 1951'. I didn't understand anything that was going on.

"That baby looks a lot like Magnolia." Deaky said.

I looked up at him in disbelief. "That's what I thought." I whispered. I was so confused.

Deaky flipped to the following page, this time an article. The title was 'Mayor's new born child mysteriously disappears while visiting a friend's house'. I started to read the article, learning that Beatrice was only 6 months old when she was taken. The family was visiting an old friend of theirs. They went home afterwards, knowing they took the baby with them, however, the next morning the baby was gone. Later the police found out that the friend of theirs had followed them home and took the baby while they were all tired and sleeping. They arrested the man, but never found the baby. Underneath it all, it had a picture of the man. It was hard to see, but I could finally make out the lines.

"I-It's my dad's friend. The one that..." I couldn't continue the sentence. I was to afraid to look up at Deaky and see what his reaction was. Something went off in my head all of a sudden. It didn't make sense though. Nothing as making any sense. "Go to the next page." I demanded.

Deaky quickly flipped to the next page. A picture of the man who was keeping Roger and I captive. It said underneath he was another friend of my dad and his friend. Their names, were Hanns, my dad's closest friend, the one that did the thing to me, and the other one was Rhett, the mysterious man. My dad wasn't given a name in the files.

"Next page," I said again. Deaky flipped the page once more, only to reveal a picture of my father and a separate one of me. It had an article underneath as well. It said that he had never had a wife, which didn't make sense to me, since he'd always tell me my mother left at a young age. It also said something about how I was also nameless and a mystery child that he was hiding. It said at the bottom, 'Did this man have a secret affair?'

Just then, I realized everything that was going on. There were more files in the folder, but I don't think they would be useful anymore. I figured it out. I sprung up out of my chair and headed for the door.

"Kellen, what are you doing?" Deaky said, also standing up.

I turned around to face him. "Thanks for the company, Deaks, and the help with everything. I figured it out though. Roger and I have to go. I guess I'll talk to you later then." I said. I then slipped out the door without another word .I grabbed Roger and pulled him off of the sofa. I grabbed our stuff and ran out to the car.

He settled Maggie into her seat in the back and got into the passenger seat next to me. "Wanna tell me what's going on?" He said.

I sighed. Should I? I looked over at him preparing for the moment. I had to tell him. This was so important. But how? How am I supposed to word this? "Roger... Deaky and I just read through a folder and learned some things. Things like my parents aren't who we think they are. My dad isn't my actual dad. My real name is Beatrice Zee Malone."
