Michael's POV
I drove down a heavily secluded road in the middle of southeast bumfuck nowhere, I don't know what time it is as I haven't been able to check my phone phone for about three hours, so basically since I started driving, and at the moment my car is at the shop and I happen to be driving Audrey's mother's crackmobile station wagon, and those aren't exactly known for having digital clocks.
I see Audrey snoring away in the corner of my eyes, I would almost be envious if her assholery wasn't so cute, but I digress. Our three other friends, Kalvin, Luna and Finn in the backseat were either oblivious to my annoyance or dozing off themselves. I guess I could ask one of them to check their phone, but I guess if I keep going there will be something.
That was until a not so awesome sound started coming from the engine. Fucking great.
Finn noticed my problem,
"Fuck, man. That's what we get for trusting a piece of shit from the 70s, huh?" He chuckled while saying this but I didn't think it was very fucking comical. It was pouring outside."Yeah. Hilarious. Now pull out your piece of shit phone from two years ago and tell me where the nearest town is."
I saw from the mirror he rolled his eyes and did just that.
I pulled over to the side of the road and stared at the rain droplets stream down the windshield as the windshield wipers were interrupting them from doing so, pretty soon the rain started pouring down like a carwash. I internalize the fact that I hate myself for agreeing to take this trip across the state.
"Nearest town is about five miles, sugarballs. So we get out and push." He said, half amused half pissed.
By this time Audrey and the others were groggily waking up from their beauty sleeps.
"What's going on???" Audrey's voice still raspy from sleeping.
"Oh, nothing. Your mom's crackmobile is just doing what it does best, tweaking out." Luna said jokingly. Why was this funny to these shitheads? We're the ones pushing, the joke's on us.
Everyone got out and pushed. It seemed like for fucking ever but we made it about two hours later,
It was this small head-up-eachothers-asses place called Bakerland.
We got to a gas station where we could do what we needed to do. While the girls were figuring out the hotel situation down the road. It was obvious we couldn't fix the piece of shit so we called a toe truck to get it. Audrey's mother will strongly dislike me even further now, it seems.
But whatever, she's the biggest bitch ever anyway. She hates everyone.
It would take a miracle for her to even tolerate you.
She's THAT type of person.
