"Say what now! Britain! Ray you may be like rich but there is no way I can pay for a plane ticket." I tried to explain.
"You don't have to I'm paying for goodness sakes." He remarked.
"I would never be able to pay you back Ray. Please understand I can't go."
"My treat!"
"Fine." I responded sighing but inside I was like woah Britain.
We left the apartment shortly afterwards. As we got off at the airport I headed for the economy class line.
"Where are you going sweetheart?" Ray questioned.
"To the economy class line." I pointed.
"Are tickets are for first class Laurie." He said in a straight voice.
"W-w-w-hat?" I stuttered." The only way I can possibly pay you back now is to get married to you." I mumbled.
We went through check in and got through security checkpoint. Rrring. My phone rang. It was my aunt.
"Hello Aunt Juli."
"Laurie, what's this thing I heard from your sister about you coming to Britain but not Paris?" She questioned in her nosy way.
"I am actually going on kind of a semiformal business trip and there is just no money for me to come visit you. I am so very very sorry!"
"Oh honey why don't you ask Ray to pay?"
"How do you know about Ray?"
"Your sisterhood told me everything! He is such a nice man for taking you on your first date to Britain. You should propose to him."
"Aunt Juli I have no idea how he even is! I can't just ask him to pay for an extra trip to Paris and then ask him to marry me!"
"Oh come on now Laurie you should be thinking about marriage now that you are 26. He seems like a good guy from what your sister says."
"I will kill her later." I mustered.
"Now don't do that! I got to hang up now Laurie, your uncle is calling me but I do expect to see you in person." And with that she hung up.
"Hey your uncle just called me he was asking if we could go to Paris." Appeared Ray standing over me.
"What!" My family was always snooping into my personal life! "If it is possible than no. If it not possible than no." I replied.
"Come on Laurie don't you want your boyfriend to meet your family?" He taunted.
"Of course not you would be horrified," I squarely responded.
