The Ex-Girlfriend

We kept driving continuously. No questions were asked. We didn't even talk to each other. Some time during this point I fell asleep.

Yawn. The sun is about to set. The car is parked at a cabin of some sort. Though honestly in my opinion its more the size of a normal average american house. I get up and walk inside. The exterior is lavishly furnished.

"Wow!" I exclaim.

"And you must be Laurie. Welcome to the Minnie Moriarty Cabin," welcomes a lady.

"I would say this cabin is big to be called small." I try to joke.

"Oh no dear actually Minnie is Ray's sister's name. He was very fond of his sister, everything he had was considered Minnie's as well." She corrects me.

"Oh my I am so sorry! Anyhow what is your name?" I ask trying to be polite.

"My name is Kyla Moriarty." She responds with such authority as if I am supposed to be applauding her for telling me her name.

"Wait I wasn't aware that Ray had another sister?" I question.

"Very funny of Ray to not mention me!" She pauses, "I'm his brother's to be wife."

"To be? As in engaged?"

"No I meant as his girlfriend." She sighs frustrated.

"Sorry," I mumbled.

"Did Ray ever tell you about his ex?" She asked.

"No why" I started to respond but she cut me off short.

"Oh I see you haven't had that talk yet."

"He had an ex-girlfriend?"

"No dip Sherlock of course he did! And let's get one thing straight Laurie, I was Ray's ex but don't think you can butt in and take the Moriarty Boys from me!"

"Anything wrong?" Came a deep voice from behind us. I turned and saw the most gorgeous man in the world. He was quite very tall with broad shoulders and lovely brown eyes mesmerizing me.

"Nothing at all, honey. I was just introducing Laurie to the immense history of this cabin." Replied Kyla in her most sensible voice as if nothing had happened at all.

"Oh that is so very kind of you Kyla. However my brother and I were just talking and he doesn't like of us staying here Kyla." He pauses.

"Oh hold on a minute now let me see if I can talk to him." I interrupt.

"Really you would do that for us?" He asks with a new sense of respect.

"Well of course Mr.- er what's your name sir?"

"The name is Jack Moriarty and may I add the oldest Moriarty brother living Laurie. Thank you so much for giving an attempt to put some sense into Ray's head." And with that he turned around pecked me on the cheeck and left escorted by Kyla who was glaring at me. I was pretty sure if it wasn't for Jack being down here World War III was going to start.

"Hey love of my life do you want to explain to me what that hole kissing scene was?" I swiveled around to see Ray with big disappointed eyes staring back at me.

"Oh hey Ray that was nothing really. It was just basically well a little peck on check but that is totally besides the point! What do you think you are doing for kicking your brother out of the cabin like that? That is not what family does!" I practically screamed.

"A little peck! Right Laurie sure I completely do NOT believe you. Trust me Laurie it is for our own good but mainly yours to kick Jack and his girlfriend out." Ray tried to reason.

"Ray please come on they are family and family stays! You know the way a guy treats his family may one day me the way he treats you." And with that I stormed up the stairs. As I panted heavily when I finally reached the top of the staircase I saw Ray's gaze following me. He and I both knew I had no idea where I was going. But I wanted to have a sense if peace for a while.

"Darling you have no clue where you're going. Why not just come down and let's watch a movie pherphaps Mockingjay part one and you can lie down in the best place possible. My arms." He said in a very calm voice.

"Yes I would like that." With that we went to his home theather. I mean like seriously who has a home theather in their cabin!

"Mockingjay was amazing!" I screamed.

"Hey um Laurie I know my brother can be such a player but I have something to say." Ray looks embarrassed or I don't know flustered a little as he says this.

"And that is?" I question.

"I love you Laurie! Will you go out with me?"

I sat there like an idiot stunned. Now you're probably like oh come on now we all knew it was going to happen but OMG! Ray Moriarty asked me out!

"Yes I would love to go out with you Ray" and with that I gave him a peck on the cheek.
