-Third Person-

It's only the first day at school as his eight year but Harry's already having a bad day. "Harry please just listen to me. I know you still love me,deep down inside. I'm not going to let you go, I've loved you since I was 11 years old, Harry. You can't just ditch me after all we've been through." said Ginny, much to Harry's annoyance. He broke up with Ginny over the summer and now she's still not going to let him go.

"Gin, I'm sorry but I just don't love you anymore okay? You got to accept the reality and let it go, move on and find someone else.  I can't pretend that I love you anymore. There's a lot other guys who like you, and I'm not one of them." Harry told her. Ginny's eyes were blurry with tears, Harry really don't know what to do because he can't handle anyone crying. He hugged her and pat her hair. "I'm so sorry to break your heart, Ginny. I really hate seeing you sad, but you got to understand my feelings, okay? You're like a sister to me, nothing more. I'm sorry. I don't deserve you, I can't make you happy. But I'm sure there are other man who can." He comforted her and pulled away, still holding her arm.

"We're late for breakfast, now come on. We shouldn't miss our first day at school." He led her to the Great Hall and went over to the Gryffindor table. Harry sit besides Ron while Ginny went to her friends. "What took you so long, mate?" asked Ron with his full mouth.

"Do you ever stop eating, Ronald?" Asked Hermione in disgust. "I'm hungry. I'm sure I wouldn't want to die of hunger, do I?" said Ron.

"Ginny still can't get over me. She hold me back when I'm on my way here. I don't want to break her heart, but I can't love her anymore." Harry took a sip of his pumpkin juice and look up to see the Slytherin table across him. He spotted the blonde hair looking at him. Just when their eyes locked, Draco quickly looked away. He changed a lot, he had become more fit and no more black eyes. He looked healthy, and good.

"Let's go to class." Hermione said standing up and grabbed her books. "What's first class?" asked Ron who is also getting up. "Potion with Slughorn."

"Great, can't wait. Yay." Said Harry sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "Why are you even taking Potion when you don't like it?" asked Hermione out of curiosity. "Harry and I are planning to be an Auror after Hogwarts." answered Ron before Harry could open his mouth. "But we won't need to study too hard because they would hire us even if we didn't get Outstanding."

"Oh Ron, please don't be too full of yourself." advised Hermione looking annoyed.

The 3 friends sat on an empty table and Slughorn look around before starting his class. "Hello everyone, welcome back. Now, before we start our lesson, I will call you and your partner's name then you'll be working together for the rest of the year. I've already chosen for you, so you can't change partner. Also, McGonagall has requested for me to pair you up with a person from different house in order to unite you all."

After some pairs later, Harry's name was finally called. "Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy.". Harry's heart drop. Why in the name of Merlin does he have to be paired up with Malfoy of all people? Groaning, he got up from his seat and went over to Draco who's also annoyed.

"Don't even think about crossing my line, Potter. I don't want to see any of your stuff on my side." scoffed Draco. "I have no intention or whatsoever to get my things near you, Malfoy." Said Harry.

"Okay, now we are done pairing you, please turn to page 3. There, you can read about Wolfsbane potion and how to brew it. Now, can anyone tell me what's the use of this potion? Ah yes, Mrs Granger of course." He added as he saw Hermione's hand shot up.

"The Wolfsbane Potion is taken by a werewolf to help during their time of transformation. While this potion doesn't cure lycanthropy, it does prevent the extremely dangerous dementia which would otherwise accompany the transformation from human into werewolf." she explained.

"Yes, very good indeed. That's 10 points for Gryffindor." Draco frowned as Slughorn gave Gryffindor 10 pints. "Now, I want you to brew the potion together with your partner. The ingredients are all on the blackboard."

"Go get the ingredients, Potter. We both knew that I'm better than you at Potion so it's the least you could do without destroying anything." demanded Draco. "Ugh, I can brew just fine, Malfoy." defended Harry. "Whatever, now go."

Harry went over to the cupboard at the back of the classroom and grabbed all the stuff he needed. When he had all he need, he went back to Draco and placed all the things on the table.Without saying anything, Draco started brewing and Harry was left by himself. He watched as Draco brew the potion carefully. "Can I help with anything?" he asked. "No, you'll messed up and I do not want to fail my NEWTs because of you. This is a very hard potion to brew, so stay out of the way." Draco said not bothering to look at Harry.

"Okay then, don't blame me if I just hang around not doing anything" Harry said, leaning over the table still watching Draco doing the work all by himself. "Don't look at me" Draco said after some times.

"Why? I'm just watching you brewing the 'perfect' potion." Harry said. "It's distracting. Now look away, Potter."

"Distracting? No, I won't."

"Ugh for Merlin's sake, fine.". He continued working until he finished and Slughorn came to their table observing it. "Well, it looks perfect. Good, now I want you to write not less than 13 inches of essay about this potion and hand it in on the next class. You two may go."  He excused them both and they packed their things.

"Ugh, 13 inches? How am I going to manage it?" Harry complained as they walked outside the class. "If you actually pay attention, then you can manage it. But I absolutely understood that being the golden boy you are, you have no need to do so." Draco said.

"Sod off Malfoy. Now we have to do the essay together. So tonight after dinner? At the library?"

"Yes, and please do some revision before that because I wouldn't like the idea of hanging around with you for too long". Before Harry could answer, Draco walked away leaving Harry behind.

"That git" he murmured. "I heard you, prat." said Draco not stopping from walking.

That evening after dinner, Harry went straight to the library. Draco isn't there yet, so he search for some books about the Wolfsbane potion to revise a bit. He wouldn't want to hang around with Draco too of course. After what seems like forever, Draco showed up and took a seat opposite Harry. "You're late, what took you so long?" said Harry, feeling annoyed by Draco who just shrugged and said, "Technically I'm not late because you just said 'after dinner' and I've just finished my dinner. Now come on I have other important things to do."

Harry was really annoyed but didn't bother to reply knowing that it'll only lead to another fight. They worked quickly and would sometimes bicker. "Potter grab another book on the shelve, this book sucks." Harry groaned but get up eventually. He went to the nearest shelve and search for another book. He saw one but it's too high and he couldn't reach it.

Draco was looking at him and sighed heavily. He didn't want to help but considering that they have to get the work done, he got up and stand behind Harry making the raven boy jumped a bit. Draco raised his hand and took the book himself without saying anything, his chest almost pressing harry's back. As he got the book, he went back to his seat and continue working while Harry stood there in awkwardness. "Thanks" he mumbled.

Draco looked up to him with raised eyebrows. "did you just thanked me?"  he asked. The golden boy  thanked him? Never he thought that this day would ever come. "Er yes? Why are you so shocked? It's not like I declared my love toward you, which would never happen." he said sarcastically and went to sit back.

"Ew that's so gross Potter. Don't ever say that again, I might die from just thinking of it." Draco said in disgust. He never thought of liking a boy and it creep him out. "Don't worry Malfoy. I guarantee that I wouldn't. Unless when I want you dead I guess." he joked. Draco almost smiled when he remembered who he's talking to so he put back his straight face and went back to discussing about the wolfsbane potion.

"That's it, the essay's done. I'm going." Draco  packed his things and went to the Slytherin's common room. Harry too, went to the Gryffindor's.
