"We're here!" Sam said poking me awake.
I glanced out side to the dark landscape. I gasped. It was beautiful. Long hills rolled over the landscape covered by lush trees. Everything was green and absolutely breathtaking. We drove through the main town, where many people strolled down the streets laughing, holding hands and eating dinner. The streets were lit up with colorful lights that twisted up tree trunks and around street lights.
Mum kept driving through the street, and towards a mountain. Up we went around sharp bends and windy roads.
"Where are we going?" I yawned
"You'll see." Mum replied.
Suddenly mum pulled into a long drive way. And stopped in front of a beautiful wooden house. My new home. It was two stories high and the bottom floor was surrounded by a verandah. The top floor was really a bedroom with a small verandah of its own coming out the back of the room, two green coloured glass doors opened out on to the verandah giving me a peak of the room.
"You like what you see Gracey?" Mum whispered in my ear.
"Yes!" I nearly shouted at the top of my lungs. And the reason I did this was because I caught a glance of what was surrounding the house. A BIG GREEN SPANKING RAINFOREST! YES!
"You wanna know the best bit, we own all this land, right down to the waterfall."
"Waterfall!" I exclaimed as I heard running water, coming from some where in the forest.
"Yeah!" Shouted Sam, a large cheeky grin covering his face. As images of him jumping off waterfalls, filled my mind. I quickly cut of the link when he started thinking of himself and a girl skinny dipping.
'SERIOUSLY!? He's 12!'
'Boys will be boys, I'm afraid, dear!' Mum remarked in my mind, then we both started cracking up.
"What's so funny, guys?" Sam waved his hands in front of us.
"Come on, lets get to work." Mum wheezed as she wiped a tear away.
"O... K!" I managed to say between giggles.
"By the way Grace, that room you were eyeing off, it's yours if you want it." Mum smiled, as a rush of happiness swept through my body.
"Yes... Yes please." I replied shocked and excited.
"We'll, lets get UNPACKING!" Sam sang.
