The Fault In Our Stars. What a beautiful classic everyone loves, created by a beautiful creator. "My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations" -John Green
Well, I hate John Green. Remember how The Fault In Our Stars went? The main character, Hazel Grace, was dying from some kind of cancer and then magically found a hot guy named Augustus Waters. He ended up taking her on the adventure of a lifetime and becoming the love of her life. Isn't that just perfect?
Perfectly fake.
Like, what's even the appeal here? I have an amazing answer to that question, bullshit. My name is Alice Miller and I was born with cystic fibrosis. And for all of you people who have no idea what the hell cystic fibrosis is, it's basically the fact that life gave me a pair of lungs that suck. And to top it all off, my kidney's are failing.
I've pretty much come to terms with the inevitable. I mean, I lived longer than I was supposed to anyways. It's always the same old routine every week. Wake up, take my meds, and go straight to the doctor for my weekly check-up. This week, the doctor gave me a heads up and told me that I had eight weeks left to live.
Being told that news was definitely no surprise to me. I always knew this day would come, so I created a Top-10 List of Things To Do Before I Die. Each and every one of these things is important to me but Number 10 is the one that I can't miss. If every other girl can have a love interest then so can I.
Number 10 ~ Find my Augustus Waters!
