"C'mon, Alice!" Amber was practically begging at this point.
"Amber, how many times do I have to tell you that whatever that was, is never going to happen so you can forget it!"
I thought I had the last word in this argument but I should've known Amber was not backing down from this.
I plopped on the bed, right next to my oxygen tank. Amber plopped on the bed, right next to me and sighed.
"Alice, you do realize that you have limited time left, right? I think now is the time where you stop being stubborn. Like c'mon! He's so cute! At least try to get his number."
I strictly indicate, "It doesn't matter. No matter how much time I have left, I still ended up embarrassing myself either way." I lay the rest of my body on the bed and groan with frustration. Why did I have such a huge problem with him?
The room was silent for a good 30 seconds. Amber broke the silence, sat up, and spoke up with her full chest. "You know what?! I'm not gonna let this shit happen!"
She pushed herself of the bed and stood directly in front of my body, planting her two feet to the ground. She continues, "I am sick and tired of seeing my best friend's life shrivel away and she's not even doing anything about it. Since you like being so damn stubborn, we'll start everything else on the list. The easy stuff."
I pick my torso up from the bed and look at my curly-headed bestie. "Yeah, I guess I can live that," I sighed.
She squealed and shouted, "I'm so excited! Let's get started!"
I laughed. It was funny how she just loved jumping straight into things. "Okay, Amber. Loving the enthusiasm, never lose it," I approach my counter claim, "but which one are we exactly gonna do."
She stopped being so bouncy for a second and took a good look at the list. She had this concentration face on, almost as if she was contemplating on which one we should do for.
Amber finally made up her mind, "You know what? Let's start off easy, yet big."
She pointed her finger to Number 3
Number 3 ~ Try a rare fruit
Is she fucking serious?
