Namjoon heard a knock at his apartment door making him quirk an eyebrow in suspicion. He looked out the window in his living room as he saw how hard the rain was coming down along with the trees practically bending over from the wind. The knocking continued as Namjoon got up and opened the door. His eyes widened as he saw who was standing in front of it."Jimin what the hell are you doing out?" Namjoon hissed.
"He-hey Na-nam-namjoon hyu-hyung." Jimin greeted as he shivered.
The smaller boy was clutching his books close to his chest as his small hands shook from how cold he was. His blue hair looked like he had jumped in a pool as it stuck to his forehead. Jimin smiled as his backpack started to feel heavy from the water.
Namjoon grabbed Jimin's forearm and brought him inside to his warm apartment as he shut the door behind him. Jimin wiped his feet on the mat to not wet Namjoon's wood floor before he took off his shoes. He lifted his head when he heard a patter of feet coming from the hallway and smiled when he saw Namjoon's dog approach him.
"Hey Monie."
Jimin pet the white dog's head before going over to the living room. An immediate chill of warmth went up his spine when his feet met the white carpet. He set his books down on the rectangle shaped wooden coffee table before taking off his backpack and placing it under the armrest of the beige couch.
"What the hell are you doing out here this late? Didn't you see how it is outside?" Namjoon hissed again as he motioned to outside his windows.
Jimin turned and looked as he ran a hand through his blue hair making it slick back from the water.
"I did and I don't mean to disturb you hyung but our project is due tomorrow and we're only halfway done." Jimin explained.
Namjoon sighed as he rubbed his forehead. He had completely forgotten about their assignment for one of their classes at the university they went to.
"Fuck you're right, I completely forgot. Wait, why didn't you ask Yoongi-hyung or Taehyung-ah for help?" Namjoon asked as he crossed his arms.
Jimin crossed his legs and sat down on the floor on one of the long sides of the coffee table. He took off his soaked sweater and put it on top of his backpack to not get Namjoon's floor wet.
"They all have their partners already. This is a partner assignment Joon, only you and me know what we're doing and it's too much work to explain to the other guys what we're doing. Besides, they're all stressed enough as it is by fixing and adding small details. I didn't want to burden them with helping me." Jimin said.
Namjoon felt guilt hit him for practically leaving Jimin to do the project all by himself. He couldn't even imagine how stressed he must have been for their project or how much sleep he lost. Namjoon just sighed as he rolled up the sleeves of his white hoodie and approached Jimin.
"Well let's get started on it then. Shouldn't take too long if we work together right?"
Jimin just giggled as he looked up at Namjoon, "With the person who has an IQ of 148 as my partner, should be a breeze."
Namjoon felt himself blush as Jimin grabbed his backpack and took out his notebooks and laptop. It amazed Namjoon how they weren't damaged but then he saw all the wet papers inside Jimin's bag and understood why. Jimin opened his laptop and placed it on the coffee table before starting it up. He took out a pencil and pen before opening his notebook and flipping through the pages full of words to find the pages he needed. Namjoon couldn't help but smile at the sight. He looked so cute so concentrated. The way his lips would form a small pout, the way his eyes narrowed to read what was written.
