"So this is the team who will be easing you into our system. You would have been placed in our squadron from the beginning of your time here but the things we're currently very busy doing very important things. So we can't really focus our time on helping you assimilate. So for now, you'll be working with these lovely people of squadron two," Alex informed with an exuberant smile, as he used his hand to indicate the group of individuals -I counted five of them- that were positioned in front of us in the training area.
They were all dispersed, and doing their own thing throughout various circuits and areas.
"Yo Alex, we gotta go," called Adrian, who was walking towards us from Lord knows where.
He had disappeared after I had gone to check out my room. When I had emerged, he was gone and I was left with Alex as my lone guide-person, who lead me around and towards the gym. I made note of his loss of hostility upon drian's departure.
"Well, Talia, I'm going to leave you to your on devices. Use them social skills that I know you have and like..see ya," he stated, already turning around and following after Adrian's own haste departure.
I probably looked like a lost puppy as I stared after Alex and back at my so called care-taker team.
I was in the middle of debating whether to run after them or start some exercises in some far away corner where I could watch the said, squadron two, when a voice broke through my spiral of thoughts.
"They leave you all alone out here, without even introducing you to anyone. Talk about inconsiderate asses," huffed out a female voice from behind me.
I turned to find a gorgeous girl with skin the colour of chestnut and the most luscious looking curls. The girl seemed to radiate colour and just.. radianceness. Yes, that newfound word encapsulated how I felt as I sat back and basked in her radianceness.
She was wearing a cute pale yellow halftop and that framed her curves and tones physique perfectly.
Well hotdamn sister, she definitely took the term slay to a whole other level. My eyes don't miss the pawprint tattoo on her wrist.
She's a definite badass. My type of people.
"The names Anya, and I have just allocated myself to be your personal buddy after the A team just up and ditched ya. Swear to God, sometimes I wonder why they're in charge of recruits." She said, grumbling the last part to herself.
"I'm Talia." I say with a smile, extending a hand for her to shake.
"Oh I know. You're the girl who challenged Kat. I was there when you took her off her high horse." She replies, grabbing my hand and pulling me into a firm hug. "I can tell, me and you are gonna be the greatest of friends."
"I second that thought. Is she usually that .. catty? The girls been giving me the stink-eye since I rocked up at this place." I question, geniunely curious.
