Chapter 5

~Sals Pov~
I heard a knock on the door, my heart thumped and I quickly ran over to the door, unlocking it and opening it.
"Oh! Hey Travis!" I smiled softly.
"Hi freak.." Travis said, looking away.
I noticed a bruise on his cheek and frowned a bit.
"Hey.. Are you okay? You have a bruise on your cheek.." I said, looking at Travis nervously.
Travis glared at me. "I-it's nothing! I just fell on the way here!"
Travis pushed me out of the doorway, walking inside.
"Oookay, sorry for asking" I mumbled, shutting the door behind him.
"I brought some supplies for the project" he said, setting the supplies down on the table.
"Oh, okay! I got some supplies as well"
Travis sighed and rolled his eyes, "Alright, lets get started"
"Alright!" I responded, smiling.
~No Ones Pov~
Travis and Sal started working on the project. Every now and then Travis would yell at Sal if he did something wrong but other than that everything was going pretty good. A few hours pass and they finally got their project down.
"All done!" Sal said smiling.
"Mhm.." Travis responded.
Sal looked at the clock to check the time.
"Oh! Travis you should probably head home, it's already 10 pm!" He said.
Travis suddenly got nervous, tears were forming in his eyes and he started remembering what had happened before he came to Sals place. He couldn't go home, no, not just yet.
"Sally face I-" he looked down, trying to hold back his tears.
"Hm? Hey Travis, what's the matter?" Sal looked at him with a worried look on his face.
"N-nevermind.." Travis quickly got up and started heading towards the front door.
Sal grabbed Travis's wrist.
"Wait! Travis.. tell me how you actually got that bruise" Sal said with a stern tone.
Travis stayed quiet, a tear dripping down his cheek.
"I told you! I fell!" He snapped at Sally.
"You can't get that big of a bruise just by falling" Sal said.
At this point Travis started crying. He couldn't tell Sal that his dad beats him at home, he didn't want to show him the weak side of him
"H-hey! What's wrong?" Sally pulled Travis into a hug, not caring if he got kicked or punched. He wanted to help Travis the best he could.
Travis was shocked, blushing a bit because of what Sal did.
"S-Sal... if I tell you the truth.. You have to promise me you won't tell anyone.." Travis said, wiping away his tears.
"Don't worry, I can keep a secret.. unlike my friends" Sal smiled a bit.
Travis smiled, his smile quickly fading away.
"Sal my...."

"My dad abuses me at home.."
