chapter 4 ; hangout

Today was, thankfully, a weekend and you had the day off. Sitting around in your new studio apartment, you played games until you suddenly got a call from Jennie. "Hello?" You said. "Y/N! Hey, how are you today?" Jennie said, her voice soothing and calm. "I-I'm good..why are you calling me?" You asked, hearing Jennie clear her throat on the line. "Well...I just asked my secretary if I had anything to do today, turns out it's a free day today! I was about to ask if you wanted to spend some time together today...alone." Jennie said, quietly giggling.

The idea made you beam up as you have been bored the last few hours. "O-of course! Where and when?"

"At my place, 6pm sharp." Jennie said, making you chuckle. "Jennie, you sound like a businesswoman." You said between your laughs. "Well, it is in my blood." Jennie said, sighing. "Yeah, right. Anyways, I'll get ready. Bye!" You said, making a fake kissy sound before hanging up. If you had known what you did to the poor girl...

You managed to arrive at Jennie's mansion in time. Still having the feeling of butterflies as the first time you saw the place, you walked up to the front door and rang the bell, patiently waiting until the door opened to reveal a butler, his everything on point. "Ah, are you Miss Y/N?" The butler said in a English accent, his tone elegant, yet sharp. "Yes." You said, nodding. The door opened a bit more and the butler let you in, letting you see the extravagant decor of the large estate. However, you snapped back into reality as the butler spoke up once again.

"Miss Jennie, unfortunately, has some things to take care of first. She will be waiting for you in her private room soon. For now, she will let you visit the living room, movie room, kitchen, or the library." The butler said, walking away. You nodded as he walked away and you began walking to the living room where you met two unexpected hosts.

"Kai! Kuma!" You exclaimed as one of the dogs jumped into your arms as you bent down. Giggling on the floor, Kai walked up to you and started licking your face, along with Kuma. "Alright, alright. Stop it, you too, before my makeup gets ruined." You said, pouting. You placed the two dogs down and sat down on the couch. "Okay, guys. Do you know what happened to your mom?" You asked to the two dogs, who responded by huffing in excitement.

You sighed and placed one of Kai's paws up. "Oh yeah, maybe she's working. Maybe she's a superhero. I don't know!" You said in a high-pitched voice, imitating what Kai would probably sound like for fun. Kuma jumped on your lap and you chuckled, happy with your choice of company.

As you continued playing around with the two dogs, a voice cleared behind you and you turned around tos ed the butler from earlier.

"Miss Jennie will see you now." You nodded and stood up, leaving the two dogs behind. You followed the butler upstairs and down a hallway, where he stopped at a door. "Miss Jennie will respond shortly. For now, I must go." The butler said, leaving once again. The door opened to reveal Jennie in comfortable clothing, a loose shirt and some shorts. "Wow, never thought I see my boss in some basic clothing." You said, repeating a phrase you said on your first visit to the mansion.
