Upon reaching their destination Sam stated, his tone dead serious" I'm not going to joke about this Oliver there are possible traps inside so I'm going first. I mean it when I say if you follow after me then let me go first while I'm doing so you need to watch where I'm stepping. If you don't then one of us may end up dead because of it so now that you have your choices pick one because there isn't going to be a way to go back until I get to whatever triggers the traps." Oliver took in a sharp breath not before he thought it over never being so conflicted in his life. He could allow the short scarred male to go down alone however with that choice his crush might get himself hurt or killed in the process. Yet, if he goes down with the man then the could end up getting killed because he had one little misstep. Those choices terrified him with the fact that he might be the reason for his crush's- no friend's death Sam didn't swing either way according to Richard. "I-I'll stay up here I'd rather not be the cause of o-our deaths if you don't mind just shout up here when you got the traps shut down." Sam gave a small nod patting his friend's back before leaving the dark brown-haired man sitting alone near the entrance.

About five feet into the tunnel Sam had barely managed to drop to the ground as arrows flew overhead. "Holy shit talk about overkill fifteen arrows for one man jeez they do hate thieves." Sam got up dusting himself off grumbling a bit before silencing himself knowing that he'd need to listen for any sounds ahead of him. Warily making his way further down he saw a rock that had fallen from the ceiling giving a smirk he picked up the rock. "Ya, this trick isn't going to work had it done a couple of different times now never has worked before." He reached up gliding his hands over the surface of the rocky ceiling when his hand bumped into a metal plate of some kind. Rolling his eyes he tossed the rock it landed on the ground before a loud crash was heard Sam stood there watching as the plate that was disguised as rocks rose slowly meant to crush anything under it. However, knowing most machines it needed to fully rise again before getting a second attempt when it was high enough the small man ducked under it quickly crossing to the other side. He had plucked up the rock in the process enjoying the fact that whoever made this tunnel was stupid enough not to come to check on it. A trick for anyone doing this line of work trying to find treasure knows a heavy good size rock like the one he had now can easily set off almost any traps. He continued to throw the rock ahead of him having it set off four traps so far all were boring traps that were either meant to crush, incinerate, or impale the thieves. specifically, there was a wall of fire, another plate, arrows set off with a pressure plate, and a spike wall however this next one wasn't what he had expected. He had thrown the rock ahead of him it rolled several times yet nothing happened.

Cautiously Sam made his way over to the rock about to pick it up when there was a creaking sound that sent a shiver up his spine. He quickly looked around for the trap however he couldn't spot anything different it wasn't until he felt as if the ground was moving slightly did he realize. Sam's heart lept into his throat as he lept for safety when the floor collapsed under him revealing spikes and lots of them. The young man barely managed to grab the edge of the trap in his panicked state quickly scrambling up and out of the trap his heart pounding in his chest. When he finally calmed himself down he leaned against one of the walls muttering to himself "Okay so that's new never had that happen before and damn that was terrifying." He got up onto his feet hoping that was the last trap if another one like that happens he'd be pissed that wasn't a pleasant experience in the slightest. He went on warily when he heard a whoosh next to his ear he saw that and arrow had whizzed past his head. Where there was one more were sure to follow as a result Sam forgot about being wary to save his life he went into a full sprint. He had barely managed to pass the other traps when he rounded a corner into a cavern panting. As a reward for nearly failing, he ended up with singed and torn clothes with a couple of scratches from where the arrows had grazed him in the turn. Letting out a sigh of relief he started laughing a bit only to say" god I nearly fucking died I'm a lucky son of a bitch to even be breathing."

After catching his wind he went in search for a way to shut off the traps he took in his surroundings staring in awe. The cavern wasn't that decorated there was a lever on the wall and in the center was a large pile of gold. If the short male laid on the pile it would be almost twice his size and half his height. The scarred short male rushed over yanking on the lever before testing to see if they were off by throwing a rock the size of his foot into the tunnel. Nothing triggered in which he took a deep breath before shouting "Ollie the traps are disabled get your ass down here and start collecting as many coins as you can carry!" There was running coming from the tunnel while he had started filling up his bag with the coins. Oliver stopped near him before he started filling his bag up when both bags were pretty full they had gotten up and made their way quickly out of the place. "Sam you're covered in scratches and your clothes are burnt what in the world happened down there?" "I'm fine and I had to flee from arrows while avoiding others nothing to worry about now let's get these back to the village. I need a damn vacation when this is done I didn't even really get a chance to relax the last time I was in the village." Sam stated with a sigh while they walked he started humming to himself keeping it as quiet as he could possibly manage.

"This was one trip that's enough to last me at least a couple of years worth relaxing I so ya I agree you need to take a vacation, Sam. How you manage to do this all the time makes me wonder I could never picture doing this all the time." The two started to make their way back to the village while walking Sam was covering some of the worse scratches. "Are we going to change the way we get back so we avoid those guards?" "Yes, I already planned out a route to get past them so I wouldn't worry too much we still have about a day and a half until we get near the city." Sam stretched cracking his back before continuing" I'll tell you this however I never and I mean never want to do that again I really thought I was going to die when the floor was trapped. Trust me when I tell you, you were lucky to be outside I'd rather be you at that very moment." "Sorry to hear that, but seeing how relieved you sound I'm sorta glad I choose to stay outside and leave you to go on ahead."
