The group stopped in front of Oliver's house as Oliver went to get someone to hide the horses in one of the stables. Richard put an arm around Sam when he was on the ground to steady the thief. Sam turned his head towards the forest with a frown as shouting was coming closer. He said, urging the two into the house" there's a trap door under the rug open it that's where I hide any time I get back until those blasted guards leave." Harrison moved the rug before opening the trap door as they were climbing into it Oliver came inside saying" they're close hurry you three they know who you are not me." Sam was the last inside the crawl space as Ollie quickly shut the door throwing the rug back over as the three stayed silent. About ten minutes after they got into the crawl space the door swung open as three sets of footsteps came marching in. Oliver asked, sounding confused" may I help you and you know you could know right?" A deep voice asked," forgive us, but we were ordered to come here and see if a thief by the name Samuel Reeds has come here along with two other men have you seen them?"

Oliver scratched his jaw in thought before he asked, tilting his head in the process" can you guess what time they should have come around or anything I can see?" The guard came forward holding out a piece of paper with a sketched picture of Samuel on it Oliver said, as he studied the picture for a moment" sorry however I haven't seen a man like that. I'm truly sorry I can't be of any help however there maybe someone who's seen him." He moved past the guard before Ollie stated, pointing to a house three down from his own" there's an older man that lives there he usually sits outside if anyone knows he should." The guard said, giving a nod" thank you forgive us for bursting in with no warning it won't happen again." The three guards went towards the house the hazel-eyed man walked back in with a smirk as he said:" that takes care of them." He bent down opening the trap door before helping the three out of the crawl space while Sam said, smirking" glad to see that you're good at least at lying to them." Hazel eyes met cyan eyes before Ollie said, giving a fake insulted look" now that hurts I've been covering you for years now Sammy." He tensed suddenly as those cyan eyes narrowed appearing darker as Sam asked:" what was that?" Oliver quickly spoke with a slightly shaky voice," Sam I meant Sam I didn't say anything but Sam."

Richard spoke up as Sam took off his trench coat looking at it with tears at the corners of his eyes" Oliver do you know why he seems so heartbroken?" Sam held his tattered coat close to his chest as he laid down on the couch his back facing the group as his slender frame shook with silent sobs. Oliver was frowning a bit as he went over to his crush's side lightly putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. He said, lightly rubbing small circles on Sam's shoulders mindful of the makeshift bandages" it was the last gift his grandmother gave to him that coat." Silence fell upon the room before Oliver bent down before he said, his tone quiet" Sam if you give it here I could find someone to stitch it back up. I swear you won't need to get a new one and you won't lose this one so if you could?" Sam turned his head to look at Oliver his eyes somewhat red already before a weak sounding question twisted all of their hearts "promise?" The taller male smiled reassuringly before he said:" I've never broken a promise to you before so yes I promise you it'll be back in your hands in about a day or so." Those sad eyes brightened slightly before Sam held out the coat with a wary look not wanting anything to happen to it. Oliver turned to the other two men as he said" I'm going to take this to a good friend of mine. He'll mainly mope around, however, Richard if you could start making something to eat and Harrison if you could convince him to take a hot shower it may help him until we get this back."

The dark brown-haired man took off quickly as if he wanted to get back as soon as possible while the white-haired tall man and the black-haired man shared a look. Harrison shook his head while Richard laughed running a hand through his black hair before he said:" jeez Harrison they act like their a married couple alre- oh shit." "What the hell are you talking about Rich I don't know if you've been living under a rock, but we're not a couple, end of story," an angry Samuel spoke turning to glare at Richard. With that, he got up wincing slightly as his wounds pulsed with pain for a brief moment before he made his way to the bathroom. Green eyes met ocean blue eyes both seeming to hold a worried look as the sound of the shower snapped them out of their worry. Harrison let out a sigh going to collect his medical supplies he hid in a closet while Richard went to start cooking. Oliver came back just as Sam was exiting the bathroom wearing a black short-sleeved shirt that covered up fresh bandages, he had wrapped himself, along with a pair of black pants with a white line running down the sides of them. Oliver smiled seeing his friend up and walking around however the wet hair never really suited Sam in his opinion. Going to the bathroom the hazel-eyed man grabbed a towel walking up behind Sam he got a yelp from the smaller male as he started drying Sam's hair.

Samuel just let out a sigh as he let Ollie dry his hair that even though it always slightly annoyed him when it wasn't himself doing it. It wasn't long before Richard called for dinner however Sam refused to leave from his spot laying down his stomach growled in protest but the pale-skinned man just ignored it. The other three sat down at the table frowning as Sam refused to come to eat there was a clap of thunder in the distance as Sam smiled a bit. Though most hated the rain he liked it for some reason it seemed to put his mind at ease he couldn't wait for it to reach the village. Ollie got up walking over to Sam grabbing a plate on the way over he knelt next to the couch putting the food on a coffee table. The hazel-eyed man said," come on Sam you need to eat I know for a fact you haven't eaten in a while so, please." "Fine, I suppose I'll eat as much as I can," the smaller male sounded defeated. As soon as he sat up he started eating in silence while Oliver got up going back over to his seat to continue eating. They stayed silent for a long time before Sam suddenly asked, abruptly ending the silence" Oliver is it true?" Turning his gaze to his friend Sam was able to watch Oliver get a puzzled look along with the other two. Sam let out a sigh before he asked, frowning a bit" is it true that you love me even though I'm a guy myself?" Oliver blushed before searching for a reply it took about two minutes before the taller man said, rubbing the back of his neck" y-ya it's true I'm sorry." Sam gave a gentle smile one rarely seen as he said:" it's alright however at this moment I just can't reciprocate those feelings perhaps maybe at a later date?" Ollie stared in shock as while, Harrison continued eating as if it was nothing new, Richard, on the other hand, was at a complete loss of words. Ollie asked, with a hopeful look" wait does that mean I still have a chance?" Sam chuckled only to then just say "perhaps."
