A long sigh left your lips as you placed your textbooks into your locker. Pushing your locker closed, a gasp left your lips as you were surprised to see Jimin Park leaning against the locker beside you, smiling at you.

"Uh... hi?" You greeted him, confused. "Jimin? Right?" You continued, your tone unsure.

But he didn't reply, he just was staring at you.

"Hello?" You spoke, waving your hand in front of his face. "What? Oh, yeah! Right, my name's Jimin." He spoke nervously, extending his hand politely. "Y/N." You spoke, shaking it.

For whatever reason, he seemed nervous. You two used to have history class together Sophomore year and you've spoken to him a few times.

"Hey, so listen... I know we don't really know each other too well... But, there's just something about you... Would you maybe wanna, go for a coffee later or something?" Jimin asked.

You thought about it for a few moments. Your friends had been stressing you to get a date to prom, I mean, it was senior year, who didn't have a date? You were hesitant, you've been hurt in the past. But something in your gut was telling you to give Jimin a chance.

"Okay, come find me after school. You're driving." You spoke, turning your back and beginning to walk away. "You're not gonna give me your number?" Jimin asked. "What makes you think you can get that so easily?" You spoke with a smirk. "Well, how are we suppose to meet up?" Jimin questioned. "You'll figure it out!" You called out, leaving him there and heading to class.

A smile rested on Jimin's handsome features as he turned around and walked to class as well. Jimin sat down at the desk as he recalled of the interaction he had with you a few minutes ago.

"What's got you smiling like that, shitface?" Yoongi asked, taking off his backpack and having a seat at the desk beside his friend. "I'm going on a date with Y/N, after school." Jimin beamed confidently.

Yoongi nodded his head, impressed with the younger boy. Maybe he wasn't so lame after all.

Jimin waited outside the school, watching as the students poured out of the doors. How on earth was he suppose to find you? By some miracle, he saw you walking out.

"Y/N!" He called as he ran up to you. "Oh, hey." You spoke to him, turning off your phone and turning to him. "You, uh... ready?" Jimin asked awkwardly. "Yup." You replied as you walked with him to his car.

Approaching the black Jeep, Jimin opened and closed the passenger door for you before going to the driver's side and getting in. Starting the engine, you two were on your way to the cafe. When you arrived, you two ordered and sat in a booth with your beverages.

"So, what made you want to talk to me?" You asked as you took a sip of your latte, looking up at him through your eyelashes.

Jimin stared blankly ahead at you as he tried to think of what to say. 'I only asked you out as a bet' sounded harsh and pretty shitty actually, so he opted for something else.

"Like I said, there's just something about you. I want to get to know you better and see where this goes." He replied. "I thought you and Yuna were together. So I was confused when you came up to me this morning." You confessed. "What? Me and Yuna? You really thought that?" He questioned. "Yeah. I mean who wouldn't? That girl's obsessed with you. She has a whole highlighted story for you on her instagram." You said causing him to laugh. "Yeah... I saw that." He cringed thinking about it.

He didn't really like Yuna all that much. But she was a beautiful girl and he know they'd look good together for prom, that's why he was going to ask her.

You and Jimin talked for another hour and it turns out you two had a lot in common with each other. You found yourself actually... starting to like him.

Afterwards, he drove you home and walked you to your door.

"It was fun, Jimin. See you." You said. "See you, Y/N." He replied with a smile.

Jimin's POV

Was I too boring? Did she have fun?

These are the thoughts that ran through my mind as I walked back to my car. Opening my door, I got in and then noticed something I hadn't seen before. There was a sticky note stuck to my dashboard. Picking it up, it read:

thanks for coffee, it was fun, don't be a stranger <3

I smiled so wide that my eyes practically disappeared. She gave me her number, which means she likes me! Starting my car, I began to drive home, and for some reason, I just couldn't stop smiling.
