[Note] : Thought I would add something to listen to while you read. I've been enjoying lofi hip-hop while I do things, but let me know what you think! This, of course, is optional if you rather not listen to anything while reading.

Nana stepped out of her apartment building, ready to spend a day exploring the town. The only thing was that the moment she opened the glass door in the lobby, a gust of wind hit her, causing her to shiver.

Instead of heading out regardless of the cold, she went back to her apartment to grab a heavier coat that fit the season more.

Okay, now she was ready to explore the town.

Since most of her friends would be busy, the Mei'fwa decided to find somewhere to stop by and grab something to eat. She managed to find the same cozy cafe that she had visited a while ago.

It seemed as though the morning rush had died down a bit when she first stepped inside, which was a nice change from the IHop she works at. Normally it would be super hectic around this time, but it was pleasant being able to be in a more peaceful morning setting.

She quickly spotted the same waiter from her previous visit delivering orders again. He looked so familiar, as though the two have met before at some point in time. However, her train of thought was cut off when one of the waiters approached her.

"Good morning! Welcome to Caffeinated Capital, where we serve all of our customers with a smile." The waiter paused to smile at her. "What would you like to order?"

"A cappuccino and a chocolate muffin please."

"For here or to go?"

"Here please."

"Alright, we'll get your order to you as soon as we can. Unfortunately, we're a little low on staff today, so it might be a few minutes longer than expected." She told her.

Nana nodded in response; it wasn't uncommon to have people missing on the job since it also happened at her own workplace. While she waited, she spent time aimlessly scrolling through social media.

Soon enough, the waiter came around with her order.

"A cappuccino and a chocolate muffin?" He asked, his smooth voice catching her off guard.

"Oh, um, yes!" Nana took the cup into her hands and set it down on the table. She squinted her eyes to get a better look at him.

Despite the bangs covering part of his face, his light blue eyes, well, eye seemed to draw her in. She also noticed the freckles on the skin of his arms and across his cheeks that added to his natural charm.

"Have a nice day, Miss." He spoke, a small smile noticeable on his face. Oddly enough, a slight fluttery feeling came about in her chest at the gesture.

He was cute for sure but seemed familiar to her for some reason. However, she couldn't put her finger on where the two could have met if they had.

"Thank you! Oh, and I-uh didn't get your name."

"Hmm? Well, the name's-"

"Hey! Zane! Don't flirt with the customers, nya~! Don't forget you have a job to do." Michi stomped over to the two, her hollering catching the attention of others nearby.

"Isn't that something you should be doing right about now? You are prone to hitting on almost every remotely attractive guy that walks in here." He retorted, keeping his voice rather low as to not draw any more attention.

Michi turned pink and, with a hump, went towards the employee's room to most likely escape the embarrassment and looks from other people.

"So sorry about her. She can be a busybody at times." Nana giggled at the comment since it was true; Michi did have a tendency to butt into things that aren't her business, even if it was accidental.

"It's alright! I know that she can be a lot to handle every now and then."

"You know her?"

"Yeah! Well, kinda."

After a minute or two of more conversing, the two waved at each other as Zane went back to doing his job.

He seemed so dark and mysterious, or at least that's what Kawaii~Chan would see him more as. Nana didn't want to be her former high school 'persona' (as she called it) when it came to guys. With friends, it's much more toned down but there was still a part of her that wanted way more of herself in her personality.

She wanted to get to know the guy how Nana wanted to instead of auto-piloting to Kawaii~Chan. However, all she had to go off of was his name and where he worked.

Nana left the cafe with a slight feeling of discontent that not much progress was made in getting to know him. Maybe the next time will be more successful.

"Aphmau, how would you approach a guy?"

Nana was spending the rest of her day over at her friend's, Aphmau's, home, yet still couldn't get the guy out of her head. The whole situation at the cafe made her think about him even more as it remained fresh in her head.

"How so?" She asked, setting her drink down onto the coffee table.

"So, say if you met this guy and you wanted to get to know them, but have no clue in bringing it up. What should you do in that situation?"

Aphmau thought about it for a bit before a knock on the door broke her train of thought. Nana curiously looked over to see who it was since she didn't know someone else would be visiting.

"Hello?" Aphmau said as she opened the door slightly. Luckily it wasn't a stranger, but instead a friendly face.

"Heyo!"

Hooray, another chapter! :D

So sorry about missing updates for the last two weekends or so! I was really busy with things and lost track of time. ;-;

Also, how was your Thanksgiving if you celebrate it? I hope it was well!

The next chapter will *hopefully* have a drawn-out scene, similar to what I did for previous books. Speaking of which, I haven't posted any art for chapters in a long time. (I think the last time was when I was still writing FMN?)

I think I've improved a lot since my last art posting; I'm always drawing something and should get around to posting it. I'm a bit nervous since I don't post what my art looks like nowadays, but I am excited to dive into it again!

But anywho, thank you for reading and have a good night/day! Bye! <3
