Yo yo yo what's up party people

I'm sorry

Anyway here's chapter two please drop a comment and tell me what you think I tried to put some more backstory in this one and also Roman speaks Spanish so ye

I'm thinking that every side is fluent in one language other than English and I'm not quite sure what they'll be yet but here's what I'm thinking:

Logan- French

Roman- Spanish

Virgil- Italian

Patton- German

There'll probably only be Roman speaking Spanish in this chapter but I might introduce the other sides speaking different languages when they talk to their families

Aight bye enjoy

Roman's alarm blared loudly in his ear, waking him up in the most unpleasant way. He groggily got out of bed and went to brush his teeth.

Once he freshened up, he went out into the living room and sat heavily on the couch, glancing over at Logan, who was sitting at the dining room table. He was reading a book and drinking a cup of coffee.

"Good morning, Roman!" Patton said cheerfully as he handed him a cup of coffee, freshly brewed and strong. Roman smiled up at Patton, who shook a carton of milk, as if asking him if he wanted milk in his coffee. Roman nodded, and let Patton pour a decent amount of milk into his coffee, turning it a tawny shade of brown.

Roman took a few small sips from his coffee, letting the warmth soothe him and wake him up. He glanced down at his phone, which had rung abruptly. His sister was calling him.

"Oh, it's my sister. I have to take this," he said as he got up and walked over to the window, the phone next to his ear.

"Hey, Diamond. What's up?" he said, walking over to the window and waiting for his sister to reply.

"Oh, you know, the usual," she said with a chuckle. "You?"

"Nothing much," he said with a sigh.

"How do you like your new roommates?"

Roman smiled. "They're great. We all have a great dynamic."

"That's good," Diamond said. "Are any of them cute?"

"Seriously? That's your first concern?"

Diamond chuckled. "What? You knew I'd ask you."

Roman sighed. "Yeah, I know. I guess...supongo que Virgil es lindo..." he said quietly. Roman was fluent in Spanish, as was his whole family. He tended to slip into Spanish is he wanted to talk about something private over the phone.

"Oooh, nice! What's he like?" Diamond asked eagerly. Roman blushed.

"Es alto, oscuro y sarcástico. Tiene el pelo castaño oscuro con el flequillo temiendo púrpura, y tiene estos ojos que parecen hoyos negros. Es una figura bastante atreva," Roman said in fluent Spanish. Diamond giggled.

"He sounds cute. Do you think you like him?"

"Diamond..." Roman's cheeks grew even redder.

"C'mon, Ro, you can tell me."

Roman sighed. "I... ¡Sí, pero no se lo digas a nadie!"

Diamond dragged two fingers across her lips, as if she was zipping them closed. "My lips are sealed."

Roman sighed in relief. "Good. How's the rest of the family?"

Diamond chuckled. "Icarus has practically died of boredom since you left. He insists on watching your old musicals over and over again," she said with a chuckle.

Roman laughed. "Gotta say, I can see that."

After a moment of silence, Diamond cleared her throat.

"I'm coming to visit next week."

Roman was surprised at this. "Oh! Really?"

"Yep," Diamond said with a smile. "I'm in town for an audition, so I thought I'd say hey."

Roman nodded. "Well, you'll get to meet the rest of my roommates."

Diamond nodded. "Yep. I can't wait to meet Virgil~" she said tauntingly.

Roman's face went red. "Can it, Diamond!"

Diamond snickered. "Alright, fine. See you, Ro."

"Bye, sis."

Diamond hung up and Roman walked back over to the couch. Virgil had come in at some point, and was sitting on the couch. Everyone was staring at him, eyes wide and jaws dropped.

"What?" Roman asked.

"You speak Spanish?" Patton asked.

"Oh...yeah," Roman said, a slight blush working its way into his cheeks. "My whole family does. My dad is Greek, but he lived in Spain almost his whole life."

Patton smiled widely. "That's so cool! So do you speak Spanish at home?"

"Sometimes," Roman said, walking over to the couch and sitting down next to Virgil. "It really depends on who's there."

Virgil rested his chin on his fist, avoiding eye contact with Roman. He furrowed his brow.

"What?"

Virgil blushed. "I...just heard you say my name when you were talking to your sister..." he said quietly. Roman blushed.

"O-oh! I was just telling her who you guys were. Nothing to worry about," Roman said with a nervous chuckle. Virgil squinted, still suspicious.

"Anyway, my sister's coming to visit next week. She's in town for an audition and will be stopping by to say hey," Roman said, to which Patton smiled.

"Yay! Visitors!" he said, clapping his hands. Virgil grumbled. Roman rolled his eyes.

"Oh, deal with it, Emo Nightmare," Roman scoffed. Virgil raised an eyebrow.

"Back with the shitty nicknames, are we, Drama Queen?" Virgil said with a smirk. Roman growled at Virgil, who kicked him in the shin. Roman promptly slapped Virgil's arm, which didn't seem to affect him.

"Alright, kids, no fighting!" Patton said, pulling Roman away from Virgil. They both pouted.

"I have some work to do. I'll be in my room if I'm needed," Logan said as he got up and walked up to his room.

"Ok, bye, Lo!" Patton said cheerfully as Logan walked off. His heartbeat increased, and his face went slightly red. He dashed up to his room and buried his face in his pillow. He had no idea how to deal with his feelings.

Patton had gone up to his bedroom, which left Virgil and Roman alone. Roman was still glaring at Virgil.

"You gonna apologize or what?" Roman said with a pout. Virgil scoffed.

"Not unless you do it first."

Roman groaned. "Uch. Fine. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for calling you mean nicknames." As he spoke, Roman found himself earnestly meaning everything he said. "I...I'm sorry for being rude to you. That's hardly the way to treat your new roommate. And I'm sorry if I ever seem like I hate you. I don't. We're friends. I-"

Virgil placed his hand on Roman's, which snapped him out of his moment. He looked at Virgil, his eyes stinging slightly. Virgil gave him the warmest smile he had ever seen, and rubbed his hand.

"Hey, hey. It's ok. Thank you for apologizing. I...I'm sorry, too. I'm sorry for all the stuff I said to you. So there. Happy?" Virgil said, slinking back to his end of the couch.

"Very," Roman said with a smirk, chuckling when he saw Virgil's red face.

"Forget it."

"Are you...blushing?" Roman asked mockingly.

Virgil only blushed harder. "N-no!"

"It's ok. thanks for apologizing."

"Shut up."

"Note taken."
