  Nights in Tuefort

You know it isn't real. You know it's all in your head, yet you still can't help but cower in fear under your blankets. Shaking and crying, covering yourself for dear life despite knowing nothing's there. Though, you can't help but feel as though the second your skin shows, it will kill you. The monster that plagues your nights, leaving you constantly sleep deprived with no escape.

Living on the base in tuefort isn't always the best, especially since it's in the middle of nowhere. No help anywhere near here that you could seek. The only doctor you have is medic, but he isn't a mental doctor, so you doubt he could do any good. Even if you did like him quite a bit.. Your chances would be wasted if he knew there was something wrong with you though, right? He'd think you're crazy... Right?

Either way, you doubted you had any chance. You're colleagues, partners in the field. You're just his nurse, and nothing more to him. If he found out, you could even be fired. So, spending your nights under the covers is your only choice. The only sounds being your own staggered breathing and occasionally the rain hitting the roof, unless your imagination wants to be so kind as to hallucinate the sounds he might make in bed beside you with the same vividness it presents your demons to you.

Finally calming yourself by 4am, you could sleep. Sleep for only an hour, again, when Soldier would wake you for breakfast. You're used to the very little sleep you get, but you know it can only last so long before you collapse and get fired for being worthless to the team. You sleep, dreamless for once, with slight comfort from knowing the night has almost ended.
