Paranoid (mentally ill reader X medic)

The Date

   The medic eventually came back to relieve the engineer of his "babysitting" duty once evening had set in. He blindfolded you and guided you through the halls of the base, keeping hold of your hand so you wouldn't fall. You were confused on where he was dragging you, though also both nervous and excited. Soon enough you felt a cool breeze as you were pulled through another door, presumably to the outside, which only furthered your confusion. Since he didn't let you put shoes on before leaving, he lifted you up and carried you for your safety the rest of the way. Your face instantly heated up visibly, earning a teasing chuckle from the mad doctor. You whined in response a quiet "Oh hush it." He laughed more.

   Eventually he set you down on a soft sheet, obviously over grass. "Is this.. a picnic?" "Maaaaaybe." The doctor replied cheekily. You rolled your eyes under the blindfold obviously enough for him to tell. "Do jou vant to enjoy zhe evening viz jour eyes, or vould joy razher be stuck blindfolded?" He teased. You huffed and told him to take it off you already, so he complied. You blinked the blurriness out of your eyes and looked around to take in the view once you could see. You gasped.

   The medic had set up a lovely little romantic picnic for two by a small lake, under a tree right at the shore. The sun was begining to set, a soft orange and pink blanket of light filtering the scenery. "It's.. it's beautiful.." the medic smiled with pride. "Just like jou, liebling." If your face wasn't already red, you were sure you were absolutely burning up now. You looked over to him with a flustered expression and he gave you a soft smile in return that melted your heart. "M-Medic, I-" "Josef. Call me Josef." He cut you off. First name basis now huh? "J-Josef then, I don't even know what to say..." You paused for a moment, getting an idea. "But I could show you.." You cupped Josef's face in your hands and leaned in, closing your eyes as your lips met. Josef instantly kissed back eagerly with rose dusted cheeks. He slowly pulled back after a moment and stared down at you with starry eyed. You stated back, your entire face burning up again. You looked visibly anxious, waiting for any response from medic. Instead of words, he pulled you in for another short kiss.

   "Jou don't know how long I've been vaiting for zhis moment, mein Täubchen. I.. Ich liebe dich." If it was possible, your heart would've melted out of your very chest hearing that from him. You may not know German, but you do know some basics. You placed a hand on his cheek lovingly. "Ich liebe dich auch." You told him before wrapping your arms around the mad doctor. "I love you too."

AN: ok ok I know it took like ages to get this out. I ended up losing like all motivation for this story outta nowhere. I haven't written any proper stories in years so throw me a bone here. I ended up having to cut the story shorter than anticipated and end it. I had to at least give you all some closure though so I got myself to at least push through for an end. Though it took a while, which I apologize for. I might start writing more one shot sized stories for a while instead to get back into writing-. But no promises. If you guys actually read this, I hope you all enjoyed it, and I hope the ending was at least good enough, albeit short.
