You drive as fast as you can, calling Ruby every second but she won't pick up.

As you turn the corner, there is a sea of cars in front of you. You try to move around a few of them, but get stuck in the traffic

"Shit" You shout, hitting your steering wheel.

Unbuckling your seat belt, you swing the car door open, grabbing your phone and keys and run

Running till you can't feel your legs anymore. But you didn't care.

As you reached the house, you knock furiously, waiting for an answer. After a while of silence, you jump the fate and run through the back door.

"Ruby?!" You shout, looking around the cold house.

"Ruby?!"

You run up the stairs and look into every room, until you reach the bathroom.

"Ruby?" You say calmly, opening the bathroom door slowly.

There she was

Laying on the floor, pills all around her limp body

Her pale skin contrasting with the white tile floor

Her hand holding a pill bottle

Running to her side, you pick up her body and call an ambulance

"Help. My..my friend has overdosed. She needs an ambulance. P...please hurry" Your voice is shaky and you can't think straight.

As you hear the sirens and you see paramedics climbing the wooden stairs, you hold Ruby close to you and whisper

"Why?"
