"Daddy, can I pwease have da iPad?"
"No, Cara, we're gonna be there in like five minutes."
"Pwetty pwease? Wid a chewwy on top? And spwinkles? And marshmawoahs? And-"
"Alright, fine, geez. Just let me go get it."
"Yay!"
Bakugou stopped and stood from buckling his daughter into her carseat, closed the car door, and left the parking lot to go back inside for the iPad that they shared. He thought it was ridiculous that she wanted the iPad for, literally, a five-minute car ride but the little girl was so persistent sometimes. Or maybe it was just because Bakugou could never bring himself to say no to his little ray of blonde sunshine. Her big red eyes always made the cutest addition to her adorable puppy-dog face and Bakugou could never refuse after he saw it. She was just too damn cute and he loved her with all his heart.
After grabbing the silver iPad, his keys, and his name tag, he sauntered back out to his car where his daughter waited, kicking her feet against the passenger's side seat of the vehicle and looking around the car like she's never seen it before; though, this was their daily routine now. They both got up around 8am; Bakugou would help Cara get dressed, brush her teeth, and, sometimes, if she wanted, he would do her hair. After Cara was finished getting ready and Bakugou had made her some type of breakfast - usually toast and eggs - he would give Cara the iPad to occupy her while he ran back to his bedroom to finish getting ready himself.
From there, Bakugou would drop Cara off at kindergarten, and he would head to his university and attend his own classes. Then, after the two finished their schooling for the day - Bakugou's classes were carefully planned to accommodate his daughter's schedule - he would usually run home and change, and then take Cara to daycare before he made his way to work.
Currently, Bakugou was running a little late because one of his professors decided to keep them fifteen minutes past the end of class (that bastard), making him late to pick up Cara from school, air-go, making him late for work now. So, when Bakugou pulled into the daycare parking lot, he carelessly parked the car and hopped out as soon as he could, leaving the car running and making his way back to the door that Cara patiently waited behind to help her unbuckle and walk her across the parking lot to check her in.
Once inside the one story brick building, the little girl skipped across the room to meet up with some of her friends that she's known for a while. She looked so happy and there was a sense of pride that came across Bakugou as he watched her vibrantly talk about something. He didn't know what since she was across the room but, he didn't have a lot of time to look on because he turned to the front desk and quickly scribbled her name down on the sign-in sheet and his signature before dashing out the door and back to the running car.
When he finally got to work, it was ten minutes after his scheduled shift had started which, honestly wasn't bad considering he was almost thirty minutes behind schedule when he left school. When he walked through the front doors of the diner, he was instantly greeted by Kaminari who worked the same shift as him, forcing him to begrudgingly get to know the yellowish blonde. Bakugou just rolled his eyes in his regular grumpy-Bakugou fashion and shouldered past him to clock in.
Since he was so late to picking up Cara from school, he really just rushed in the house to change his shirt and forgot to drop off his backpack. So, when there were slow parts of the day, Bakugou figured he should just work on his homework. He did have an essay due on Thursday after all.
When Bakugou was on his lunch break, he found himself in a vacant booth towards the back, scrolling through academic and peer-reviewed sources for his research paper. Kaminari noticed him from across the room and, for lack of having anything better to do, decided to go over and talk to his coworker/friend.
