Bakugou was so relieved to finally be off work. It was around 6:30 when he finally left the diner and headed straight for the daycare to pick up Cara. He was exhausted but he only let that show until he stopped the car. He still had a whole evening with his daughter that he needed to soldier through. Don't get him wrong, he loved spending time with her but half the time he was too tired to fully enjoy it.

Now, though, he parked his car and turned it off, locking it as he walked up to the glass double-doors of the daycare. Cara was quietly sitting in one of the blue chairs with her coloring book on the matching blue table. She had a cute little dress on that day and it made Bakugou's heart warm as he looked at his precious daughter. She was humming to herself in the corner while she scribbled light blue into a feather on a hummingbird's wings. Bakugou sighed as he turned to look at the signout sheet and, just like this morning, scribbling Cara's name onto the sheet, the time, and his signature.

The lady at the front desk who was typing something up on the computer in front of her turned to look at Bakugou. She had gold irises that stared into Katsuki's red ones and she smiled.

"Is that one yours to pick up?" She happily pointed at the blonde girl who had now moved onto coloring the beak of the hummingbird a color that was close to Ms. Ashido's eye color.

He softly smiled and said "yeah."

"She has a good brother to come pick her up."

Bakugou blushed and rolled his eyes. He wanted to yell at her "she's my child, bitch" but, he didn't think that that would settle well with one of Cara's caretakers and he wanted Cara to be well-taken care of.

Instead, he chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck while nervously sputtering "y-yeah."

He turned to walk towards Cara who was still oblivous to her dad's presence, surrounded by numerous other empty, round tables of different blues and greens under the harsh white lighting from the ceiling. There were still some kids lingering in the back on the carpet but they were occupying themselves with puzzle and board games. It was way past the time that electronic devices had to be shut off so all the kids were finding alternate ways to entertain themselves. Cara looked so peaceful as she swung her legs, kicking the air one at a time and humming a song that she was completely making up while 100 percent of her attention was focused on completing the coloring of the hummingbird.

Instead of disturbing her, Bakugou sat in the chair across from her. Where Cara's feet couldn't touch the ground, Katsuki's legs were bunched up, his knees coming to a little above his waist and the seat not even covering the full real estate of his butt. He just sat waiting patiently until she was completely done with the hummingbird. She was about to move onto the next drawing when the blonde man spoke up from across the table.

"Hey, cupcake," he cooed. Little red eyes shot up to look at the face in front of her in disbelief. Geesh, it's like she hasn't seen him in forever; it's only been six hours.

"Daddy!" she exclaimed excitedly. Her smile touched her ears as she hopped over to Bakugou who chuckled in adoration as she plopped herself onto his lap. "I made someting fow you!" she was bouncing up and down now, making Katsuki lift his heals off the floor so his legs were more springy.

"You did?" he exclaimed right back.

If it was possible, she smiled even wider and let her pink skirt of her dress ride up as she hopped off of his lap. He made sure to quickly adjust her clothing as she ran to the other side of the table and he smiled contently at the child when she stood right in front of his face with her grin ever present. Katsuki rested his head in one of his hands that was propped up by an elbow on his knee and waited for Cara's instruction.
