Once Kirishima walks through the door of his dorm, he notices that Tetsutetsu is getting ready for bed so he turns his lamp light on and turns the lights off. He starts getting ready as well and he was just about to climb into bed when he remembered that Mina said to call him.

She said she had something important to talk to him about and he wondered what it was. He wouldn't be so concerned if she had told him to call her tomorrow or if she had told him immediately but now he's left wondering and more than a little worried about what this urgent and pressing matter was. So, before calling her, he grabbed his phone off his charger and told Tetsu that he'd be back in a minute because he had to make a call. He just nodded and continued scrolling through his phone as Kirishima pushed the door back open and went into the hallway to one of the study tables. He sat down in the chair and propped his feet up on the table as he tapped on Mina's contact.

He was concerned. He can't get this nervous tightness out of his chest as he heard the low rumble of the call going through. There were tons of questions flying through his head but without fail, there was one that kept popping up. Why did she want to talk to him when Bakugou wasn't with him? It was obvious by the way that she wanted him to call her after he dropped the blonde off but immediately when he got home. It was puzzling, to say the least.

"Hey, Kiri," she let out a breath as she talked and it sounded like what she was about to tell him was full of bad news, he could feel it.

"Hey, Mina, what's up?" His voice shook a little as he asked but he couldn't help it, the more the seconds passed by he got more and more unsettled and uncomfortable.

"I wanted to talk to you," she said. Her voice held the same inflection as a doctor who was telling you bad news. "It's about Bakugou. Listen, I'm sorry, but I did a little snooping and looked into his file."

"Mina, you can't just snoop on my boyfriend like that!" He felt a rush of anger which was quickly replaced with dread. Whatever she was about to tell him about Bakugou, it was bad and he wasn't sure he was prepared for that.

"I'm sorry, Kirishima, I really just wanted to know about him. And then I heard Cara... just listen. I looked into his file and it turns out he's not Cara's brother."

"So, he's not related to her? Why would he lie about that?"

"Kirishima, that's not what I'm saying."

"Then what are you saying, Mina? Please just say it, you're making me nervous."

She let out a breath. "What I'm saying is... he's not her brother, he's her father."

Kirishima was shocked, to say the least. He just sat there, holding the phone up to his ear. His mouth was agape and his feet were now off the table and firmly planted on the ground and he was leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. He was frozen in pure shock. Is that why he worked so much? He was the only one who ever picked Cara up from daycare and she was there every day that he had to work. She looked just like him, the spitting image of him. He should've known earlier, he should've connected the dots. He should've-

"Eiji, are you there?"

"Yeah," he breathed out.

"Are you okay?"

"I don't know."

"Do you want me to come over?"

"No, I'm fine."

They sat there in silence for a few moments longer. The redhead was still trying to absorb this heavy information. Bakugou had been lying to him. That's what hurts the most. Bakugou had been lying to him about a huge part of his life. But, this was a big part of his life and maybe he just wasn't ready to share that yet. Maybe this was information that he was going to tell Kirishima but he didn't want to scare him off by the fact that he had a daughter. They are only in college after all and he can't say that he wouldn't have been a little more hesitant about a relationship with him if he knew that Cara was his child.
