As soon as Kirishima is back in his car, he cries. He sobs from his diaphragm with his hand on the black, faux leather wheel and his face resting on his arms. Tears were streaming down his hot face as he excessively sniffles, refusing to let any snot escape his nose. He didn't know why he was crying so much, it's not like he was in love with Bakugou or like he had known him for so long and now it was over. It shouldn't hurt so much so why does it feel like his insides are turning to mush?

It hurt because what Bakugou did was a complete betrayal of trust and he didn't want to admit it but he was more invested in their relationship than he wanted to admit. Hell, it took so much commitment to get Bakugou to just agree to go on a date with him which created a lot of room to become invested in the first place. Then, he went on a date with him and it was all downhill from there - he became irrationally devoted to the beautiful blonde so, yeah, it's hurting. Like, a lot.

It took Kirishima a solid hour to stop crying and pull out of his parking spot. His chest still felt heavy and he was sniffling a little less but he made the decision to go back to his dorm to lay in bed and watch YouTube to distract himself from his feelings at least for a little bit. Kirishima was just shifting into drive when Kaminari came running out to his car, making him slam on his brakes. Adrenaline coursing through his veins, his heart was pumping out of his chest having almost just run over his best friend.

He sat there for a few moments trying to regain his breath and staring out the windshield. Kami took advantage of the redhead's shock, opening the passenger's side and sliding into Kirishima's SUV. He sat there next to Kirishima and looked at him excitedly while the driver was still slightly struggling to regain his breath and his limbs felt like they were all buzzing. He turned to look at the blonde when he said, "what the hell man?"

"What? I came to ask how the date went!" Kami was smiling brightly, obviously expecting good news while he waited in anticipation for an answer. His glowing smile slowly faded, however, when he noticed the puffiness of Kirishima's eyes and the frown that seemed to deepen at the mention of the date. "It didn't go well, did it?"

"No, no, it went great. It was amazing, actually," he said, still looking down at the steering wheel. Kaminari raised a brow in empathetic confusion.

"Then what's wrong?"

Eijirou lightly scoffed, realizing the irony. The date went so freakin' well it made him feel like he was floating afterward but now his chest hurt recounting all the good details. Who knew that the information he got after the fact would be what ruined him. "It's not gonna work out."

"Did he break up with you?"

"No, he didn't. I broke up with him. He lied to me about something really big and I just didn't feel like we could have a good relationship if it's not built on trust," he sadly explained. He was twiddling his thumbs as tears began to pool in his eyes again and his nose started to prickle. He looked up at Kaminari and he could see his face fall when he saw the shininess of his eyes.

"Oh, I'm sorry buddy. Can I ask what he lied about?" He asked sadly, putting a hand on Kirishima's arm. Eijirou smiled in appreciation but then huffed soon after, looking a mixture of sad and frustrated.

"I can't tell you. Sorry, Kami. It's a really huge secret that I don't think a lot of people know and it's not my secret to tell." He wanted to tell Kaminari. He REALLY wanted to tell him, but he knew that was only because he was hurting. After he felt better, he would regret telling Bakugou's coworker something so personal. This wasn't like a silly rumor, it was a serious detail of Bakugou's life and he needed to decide when and who he told. It wasn't his decision.

They sat in silence for a few moments like Kaminari was trying to fully absorb what he just heard before he responded. Kirishima didn't really know what he was waiting for as he stared at Kami, withholding the tears that threatened to escape again. Maybe he wasn't waiting for anything. Maybe he was just waiting for a pat on the arm and Kami to go back to work, realizing he can't further console him but he just sat there and stared at the dash until he opened his mouth to start to say something.
