" ,,and that is why chickens can't fly "
" But they have wings! Feathers and sh*t! "The silverette laughed, clutching his stomach and wheezing; taking Stephen to process what the conversation was all about before laughing along the shorter male. He hasn't laughed this hard or bonded with someone he'd just met, yet- it almost feels like they've been friends for years.
Taking in a deep breath, Hosuh regained his normal quiet persona; with a small smile of course. With no other topic to talk about, the two boys just continued to stroll around in silence; sometimes glancing at each other before quickly moving their gaze at a random area or scenery.
The campus was full of life, students laughing and hanging around in the open field, some are talking and holding text books or slinging their bags onto their shoulder, even some madlads screaming and naruto running to their dorms or towards their friends. And there, they arrive at the garden, plant life here is lively as well, full of daisies, sunflowers, gardenias,, the air was filtered with sweet aromas of different flowers and already filling up Stephen's nose with the sweet scent.
",,Did you know that Hydrangea was discovered in Japan, the name hydrangea comes from the Greek 'hydor,' meaning water, and 'angos,' meaning jar or vessel. This roughly translates to 'water barrel,' referring to the hydrangea's need for plenty of water and its cup-shaped flower? "
" Oh? Well now that i know, could you tell me about this flower then? Y'know, its symbols and all. "
Stephen pointed at the Sunflower, simple and common; but a special one to someone. Hosuh gazed at the sunflower and stopping at his tracks, walking over to the small field of sunflowers and reaching over to one of it; brushing his fingers against the delicate bright yellow petals and smiling.
" Sunflowers symbolizes,, well, adoration, loyalty, longevity and happiness. It's a lovely gift for loved ones and for friends! "
Hosuh beamed at his sentence, gazing at the sunflower in front of him and admiring its simple yet beautiful looks. The sunshine shone and have brighten up the scenery; beaming at the flowers and shining light at Hosuh. His hair glowed up and his eyes shining.
Stephen stared at scenery in front of him, almost starstruck at the boy in front of him. His heartbeat came to fasten its pace, hands trembling a little and the edge of his lips tugging at the edge just to form a half-smile. He looked so beautiful out in the sun, his hair blowing in the wind and his cute smile--
Holy sh*t Stephen, i know you're Bi and all; but KEEP IT TOGTHER, you just met him and you're just admiring what he looks like. You don't have a crush on him, and you're probably spacing out and you better f**cking probably move.
Stephen snapped back to reality, gulping in his sudden nervousness and tapping on Hosuh's shoulder.
" Hosuh, I think we should probably move on "
" Oh! I've totally forgot, oh dear,, sorry about that! I just love rambling on about flowers because researching about flowers and its symbolism attracted me and i got REALLY interested so i started to research more about it and-- "
" You're rambling again. "
" Oh. "Hosuh embarrassingly averted his eyes, biting the insides of his mouth and fidgeting with his scarf; Stephen snorted and let out a small laugh, patting Hosuh's back and flashing a reassuring smile.
" It's alright! Now, where are we heading next? "
" Oh- right, we're gonna go to the main lobby of the school! "Hosuh quickly darted off, quickening his pace in walking and SURELY making Stephen jog after him just to follow the short boy.
Stephen swore he saw a flash of pink tint on Hosuh's cheeks, but shrugged it off and went off on his day exploring with his seemingly new friend.
