2 years later...

Just when I thought our family was complete, Mark and I got a surprise. Why do I have a feeling we are going to be getting more of these surprises?

A couple of months ago...

"Hey Mark," I say walking into the kitchen. Mark pours me a cup of coffee and I turn it down. Odd, right?

"No coffee?" He asks confused.

"Um, no. Maybe in 7 or 8 months, but not today. Also, before I forget, we have an appointment with Dr. Zale this afternoon after school gets out."

"Why would have an appointment with Dr. Zale, unless- Wait, are you pregnant?" He asks.

"2 months yesterday." He chokes on his coffee and pulls me into a hug.

"OH MY GOD, YOU'RE JOKING," he screams.

"No, I'm not." He pulls me into another hug squishing me.

"Daddy, why your squeeze Mommy?" Bella asks from behind me. Mark lets go of me and we face our almost 3-year-old.

"Um, because Mommy makes me happy, silly."

"Oh, okay, Daddy. Can I have chicky nuggies?" Why is my daughter asking for that this early in the day?

"Bella, you can have that at lunch," Mark explains.

"But, I want them now." Her lips quivers. She is about to throw a tantrum, great. I let Mark deal with this one.

Present day...

Yeah, Mark is sometimes pretty clueless. This time around, we decided to find out at the doctor's office the gender. I didn't want to have a big party again, it is too much work.

We found out we were having a baby girl. We decided to name her something unique, but that's a surprise. She was born a couple of weeks ago and you would think the second time giving birth would have fewer threats, but well...

"GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME NOW!" I scream as the doctor prepares me.

"Honey, why don't you calm down and let Dr. Zale do her job."

"If you had to house your spawn for 9 months you would understand, but no you don't have to."

"I don't need this sass." Does he have a death wish?

"Mark Thomas Stevens, I am going to ask you very politely. Take my hand, shut your mouth, and be a good boy." He does as he is told because he knows better than to not listen to his wife.
