𝓕elix opened his eyes to the noisy chirping of the birds outside his window, he didn't want to get up, but unfortunately, he had another check up. "They are important" the captain told him.
He stared at the ceiling, clearly dozing off.
It was a gloomy atmosphere that the ship has; no smiles, no laugher, nothing. Just the loud "get to work"! and "your doing it wrong"! Of the captain.
As much as he hates the captain, he couldn't help but want to know him.
Why does he hunt sea creatures as if it's the only way he'll survive on earth ?
The man was mysterious, no one knew anything about him, no, not even Han; who was Seo's best friend since childhood.
Felix was always a curious one, ever since he was a child. He remembers how he looked at the big world, with his big doe eyes sparkling with innocence and happiness.
But curiosity killed the cat, they said.
There he is now, looking at the so called "wonderland" in pure terror and disgust. The world wasn't like he expected it to be, it wasn't like that In the stories his father used to tell him about. What "people" did to him was traumatizing, he was taught to say no when he was little, so 'they' were supposed to stop.
For that, Felix always starved for attention, any hug from someone leaves him thinking about it all day long; he needed love.
From all the thoughts pondering inside his head, he didn't hear his door knocking.
"Open the door right now"! The pirate sounded angry, hesitantly he opened the door to find a big, tall man towering over him.
"Yes"? Asked the blonde "you should come with me, Captain Seo wants you.." the pirate's voice was deep, really deep it made felix shiver.
The man was about to grab felix until
"Before!" The taller was confused "where are we going"? Asked felix. "To the captains office"
Felix had seen his office before so it's okay.
On their way; the two talked, quiet unexpected, I know. But in-fact the pirate turned out to be a nice, humble man working for his family, he told the blonde that he gets paid well here.
After a few minutes, they reached to the familiar door that is supposed to be the office from what Felix remembered. Felix stayed silent as he watched the door getting more visible, and then they turned left.
Puzzled, Felix questioned "isn't that his office"
The man didn't speak at first, but then answered. " okay, I was lying to you." He confessed, cleared his throat, then added "were not exactly going to his office, he told me to bring you to.." right there."
And In front of them stood a big black door, scared, Felix just stared at the door, frightened from what's waiting for him inside. He looked at the pirate only to find him pulling something from his pocket, it was a key.
"No one is allowed to go here" he handed him the key "but the captain told me he wanted to do your check ups there" Felix nodded, "I'll be going now, stay safe" and the man went away.
Felix didn't know what to do, what if it was a trap ? But he decided to open the door anyways.
After successfully opening it, he found a wide room, but it was dark. Really dark he couldn't see anything. And then his courage dropped low, it definitely looked like a trap. But he opened the door and saw the room, although it was lightless, he couldn't help but feel his curiosity kicking in, he wanted to know what was inside. Or who is waiting for him, as the pirate told him. Carefully; he went inside, and quickly tried to search for a light switch. And he didn't find one, "great" he thought to himself, rolling his eyes. He still decided to keep going inside. After blindly walking, he almost tripped over something, he kneeled to see what it was, and it was a flashlight.
"Great" he murmured to himself and grabbed it, he tried to switch it on yet didn't work "great" he said it again, annoyed at this.
Felix got annoyed, is this a joke ?
" this is stupid"! He said out loud, turning his back to the man.
"Watch your tongue, that's mean" a voice said. Shook, Felix jumped, "who's there"?! Clearly frightened, he tried to quickly run, although it was dark, he just wants to get out of here, it definitely is a trap. He isn't stupid enough to get fooled
Fortunately; he found the door, but he had many keys and it was dark. He felt a hand grab him firmly, making his arm hurt. "Let me go"! Felix shouted, as he was trying to get out of this person's hold.
Felix prepared to scream again but their hand stopped him from doing that, "hey hey, calm down"! And at that Felix stopped, he's going to get killed in the end, so why waste energy ?
Then they made Felix turned around, only to find a tall, quite handsome man in front of him-
Mesmerized by his beauty, Felix introduced himself "hello, I'm felix". The taller just chuckled, "I'm Hyunjin" he then leaned to his ear seductively "Hwang Hyunjin" Felix's cheeks went red. Then he woke up, "what do you want from me, Hwang"? He tried to sound mad, but Hyunjin just knew how afraid he was, not only by his legs shaking, he can just see how terrified the blondie was. And he liked it.
"Oh, it's nothing" "just wanted to make some friends" said hyunjin, trying to act innocent.
"But actually.." he mumbled, eyes turning red from the sin he's about to do now.
"I noticed a secret that you hide" and with that, Felix swore he peed his pants. Both pair of eyes turning wide, one with excitement, one with fear.
"What do you mean"? He stuttered, trying to play it cool "I don't have anything to hide from the captain" shit. He didn't mean to say the last part. Hyunjin was shocked he'd say that, smirking, he said " oh"? "You're hiding a secret from the captain I see" ? Felix stayed silent.
"Dont worry, Felix" he said with a fake smile " I won't tell anyone" "I said I don't have anything that's hidden from the captain"! He spat. " Hwang just smirked slyly, "you may go now" and with that The lights turned on..
Felix was astonished, the room had closets everywhere, the smell of leathers made Felix suffocate, is this where they torture innocent beings ? Not wanting to see the sight anymore, he fumbled with the keys trying to find it, "the black one" said Hwang behind him. And without looking back, he quickly went out, running around trying to find the way to his room.
Until he bumped into someone, and it was Han Jisung, Felix wanted to tell him everything, but the looks of the Captain made him not to.
"Are you okay"? The merman glanced at jisung, then before saying anything, the same man that lead him into that freaky room was there, Angrily; he went walked over to him and scolded him. "It's all because of you"! "Why did you lead me there"?! He was about to continue until- "hold on here"! Demanded the captain, "what's going on here"? Felix was ready to say everything, but then he remembered. "If Hwang and the Captain meet He'll tell the secret, shit."
"It's nothing, sir" he reassured with a smile, the other just nodded nervously.
"Want anyone to take you back to your room"? "Yes please sir"
After going back to his room, the pirate apologized "I'm sorry, but the captain told me he wanted to meet you there" Felix was confused, "it's okay" the merman told him, he doesn't seem like he means it.

Hyunjin sat on the black couch, still confused, sure he thought the boy was weird. But he really did keep a secret. And he'll find out about it soon.

Later that day; Felix was watching the view outside, it was really beautiful. He missed swimming freely out there. "I promised you mom, I'll get rid of him" he whispered to himself. He kept on admiring the sight until there were knocks on his door. He opened it and found jisung, standing nervously, looking left and right, playing with his fingers too. "What's wrong"? Asked felix. "It looks like someone's after you" he chuckled slightly.
No response.
After a few minutes, Han gained his confidence and announced "Felix, there was a meeting an hour earlier, and.." he looked at the blonde in the eyes, "I won't be with you anymore, I've been assigned with an another one."
"..and who's gonna be with me then"?
"Oh, it's Hwang Hyunjin, one of the best, heard absout him before"?
