Me and Kai have been hanging out a lot lately. He had figured out that I wasn't one for gizmos and gadgets, so when he's too busy to come over or something we write letters to each other. I always like his letters. First off they smell like woodsmoke. I love that smell. And secondly he always signs them with Love Kai. It is really sweet. But when he does come over he brings me bowling, laser tagging, and to the arcade.
Once we went bowling and Kai couldn't hit the pins at all. Like at all. Every time he tried the ball would just roll into the drain. He got very frustrated, because I was only a beginner and I kept on getting strikes. An entire crowd had gathered around us. On the very last go I was up to the score if 340. One more strike and I would beat Kai's high score which was at the top of the leaderboard. The entire crowd was yelling "Strike! Strike!" But I ignored them and looked at Kai. He wouldn't look at me, but I could tell he was upset. To make a long story short, I purposefully missed the pins, I came second on the leaderboard, and Kai paid attention to me again.
But today we were doing something different. Kai had booked us tickets to go skydiving. I was really excited. Kai had told me that he was going to come pick me up from my bakery.
~15 minutes later~
*God! Where's Kai!! He was suppost to be here 15 minutes ago!!* I thought as I tapped the ground with my foot. Just as I was about to stomp my foot in frustration, I saw Kai running towards my shop. When he finally reached me, he bent over panting. When he caught his breath he stood up and said,"Sorry I'm late! Me and my brothers were having an argument. By the time we had resolved things I realised I was late so I ran all the way here".
"S'okay. Just please don't be late again. I can get very impatient!" I said. "Well let's go!" Kai said and we walked off down the streets.
~20 minutes later~
We arrived outside 'The Ninjago Academy of Skydiving'. Kai led me in and walked up to the counter. Sitting behind it was a women who was wearing a ton of red lipstick and had at least 19 types of mascara on, with dark blue eyeshadow. Talk about trying too hard. So anyway she directed us to the practice room, and winked a heavily make-uped eye at Kai.
We went into the practice room and did a few basic drills with the flying coach who's name's Coach Hedge. After a while we were brought up into an aeroplane (A/N: I've never been skydiving before though so I have no idea what I'm talking about. Oops! Just to make it clear I'm getting this off Regular Show so sorry if it's not right). We put on the backpacks and Coach Hedge told us what to do to activate the parachute. When he had decided that we were ready he pushed us out. Like literally pushed us.
So we free fell down through the sky. I pulled my hook thingy (A/N: Can't remember what it's called😊), but my parachute wouldn't open up. Kai tried his but that wouldn't work either. He grabbed my hand and held on tightly. "Were gonna die!" he yelled. "No we're not you idiot!" I yelled back, and put out the hand that wasn't holding Kai's. Suddenly we slowed and we started floating down. When we reached the ground he looks at me in awe.
I smiled at him. And he smiled back. "So were probably never doing skydiving again?" I asked casually as if nothing had ever happened. "Yop!" Kai said and walked me home.
