Ace had made fried fish and chips. She planned   On Ahri having some too and made extra for the fox, even if Ahri didn't ask for any. The fox is still grateful though.

After dinner, Ahri and Ace got ready for bed. Ace took the bathroom while Ahri got the room to herself. The fox didn't feel comfortable enough to take her time getting ready for bed and quickly slipped into a loose t-shirt and running shorts.

A knock on the other side of the bathroom indicated that Ace was done getting ready for bed. "You dressed yet? I don't want barge in on you half-naked."

Ahri rolled her eyes. "Yes, Ace I'm done. Just waiting for you to get out of the bathroom."

Ace replied with a soft 'oh' before unlocking the bathroom door and stepping out. The tiger wore fluffy orange socks, boxers, and a tank top that is a little too revealing for Ahri's taste. Ace didn't seem to have a care in the world.

Ace crawled into her side of the bed and easily rolled herself up in a blanket while Ahri was still stuck on the floor. She didn't know whether or not to ask the tiger for help or just climb in bed without her help at all.

Ahri decided to take the ladder and climb up the bed without the help of Ace. Luckily scaling the bed isn't as hard as she thought it would be and she got up with ease.

The fox threw the blanket over herself and relaxed against the comfortable mattress. It felt odd for being in such a big bed. Of course it will feel odd since the bed is made for someone much larger than her. The extra space made the cool air creep in under the blankets with ease.

That didn't bother Ahri enough to keep her from falling into a lulling sleep. She had been put through some stress earlier and believed she'd be kicked out of the apartment. Now she can let that stress melt away.

Ace's ears flicked as she listened in silence. She was waiting for Ahri to fall asleep so she wouldn't worry about bothering her during tonight's stream. Ace had tried to move the stream back, but that wouldn't fit in Joe's schedule since the kangaroo lives in Australia.

She silently slipped out of bed and walked around the room with ease since she did have perfect vision during night time hours. The tiger pulled out a letter jacket like a hoodie and some fluffy socks and threw them on her body. Then she tiptoed to her gaming system and powered up her computer.

"Stupid stream interrupting my sleep. This is sleep time not stream time, Joey! Dumb Australia, dumb time zones. Screw mathmetic-meth! No math... metics... mathematics!" Ace grumbles as she waits for her computer to turn on.

Joey needed to stream tonight since his wife has needed extra attention since she became pregnant. So Ace was willing to do this for her friend and fellow streamer. But she doesn't know how long she can keep this up with her new roommate.

The tiger kind of hopes the fox will find a new place to live, but then again Ace did take her room without warning and with little to no consideration for the fox and what kind of stress that would bring on her.

The sudden sense of guilt crawls its way out of the depths of Ace's mind. She begins to zone out, letting the voices in her head swallow her whole.

Then her phone hummed.

Ace quickly scrambled to turn off the buzzing alarm on her desk. "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" She whispered harshly as she mashed the stop button.

The phone silenced and Ace released a sigh and fell into her chair. She peeked over at Ahri's slumbering body. The fox was still snoozing.

Ace's computer was powered up and waiting for her to enter in a password.

Ace stared at the flashing keyboard. She had a lot of fun stuff to make her happy. Ace was set for life in a way. She never spent any of the hard-earned money of making videos or streams. She dumped most of it into savings and donated to charities every now and then. And yet she was so empty, so dull, so lifeless.
