Nightmare

The night came and settled over the city. Everyone in room 343 was doing their usual routine to get ready for bed.

Ace spit the foam out of her mouth and rinsed quickly. She felt a little self-conscious about letting Ahri wait for her to rinse. She probably didn't brush her teeth long enough to kill all the germs in her mouth either.

"The bathroom is all yours, Ahri." Ace announced as she walked out.

Ahri quickly filled the tiger's place in the bathroom or tried to. She climbed onto the toilet then the counter. She grabbed her toothbrush and began the process of brushing her teeth.

A solid two and half minutes did the trick of cleaning her teeth. Ahri spat and rinsed her mouth. She hopped down from the counter and made her way to the bed.

As usual, Ace was already in the covers scrolling through her phone. The tiger was in grossed in her phone that she didn't notice the fox leave the bathroom and clamber into bed. She finally looked up from her gaze when the lights went out.

Ace turned on her side to face Ahri, who was already curled up in a ball. She still hasn't recovered from the events of today.

Ace sighed. "If you need anything, Ahri. You can wake me up at any time."

Ahri smiled at the kind gesture and reassured Ace that she'd take her offer into consideration if she needed it.

"Night," Ahri said lastly before turning off the lamp on her nightstand. The thing that left a small glow in the room was Ace's phone, but that didn't bother Ahri enough to keep her awake. It was more welcoming if anything.

The fox shut her eyes and let the darkness consumed her. Pulling her down into an inky black sleep for the time being.

The night crawled on. Ace was still on her phone, scrolling through all the comments on her recent video. Some were just spam and others were really nice comments about how funny or awkward she was during today's video.

Ace is glad that she can always rely on the internet to cheer her up when she's had a rough day. There are still some comments pestering her about the girl that was in the background which irked the tiger a little.

Apparently none of them understood what she said during the video about the fox being her roommate. Some people questioned why she was living in an apartment complex when she could afford a home all to herself.

Ace didn't want to live alone, that's all.

The tiger mindlessly scrolled through her phone not really caring about how many hours of sleep she'd get. Nothing much really mattered to Ace in the first place.

It was well past twelve o'clock when the soft sounds of whimpering crept into the room. At first Ace thought it was Ahri making strange noises in her sleep so the tiger simply ignored it.

Not until the fox started to mutter in her sleep, begging for someone or something stop. That's when Ace knew something was wrong.

The tiger set her phone aside and rolled over. Ahri was shaking badly and she was curled in a ball, the begging getting worse.

The thing that came to Ace's mind was wrapping her arms around the fox and whispered gently to Ahri that she was here and that nothing was going to hurt her.

What Ahri was facing right was more then just a bad dream. It was any girl's worst nightmare.

She laid in her own bed at home. It's dimly lit and the echoing laughter of the wolves from earlier in the day filled her ears. Shadows of wolves crawled along the walls, creeping closer to her.

She tried to scream for help, but it felt her voice was stuck in her throat. Tears welled up in her eyes as the shadows plucked at her clothes, getting under her clothes and crawling up her body.

"Hey there pretty little lady," the wolf grinned evilly.

"Please, no," she whimpered.

Ahri was trapped. She tried to force herself to walk up, but it wasn't working. She had nowhere to run and no one can come save her from this.

"Now, what's under that shirt of yours?" The wolf snickered. Shadows pulled at Ahri's shirt until the threading snapped and came undone. Ahri was exposed.

"Stop! Stop! Don't touch me! Please!" She screamed, squeezing her eyes shutting, begging to wake up.

The touch felt cold on the fox's skin. She was sobbing now, praying for someone to come save her.

Then something warm came over her and a familiar voice echoed over her.

"It's okay, Ahri. I got you," It was Ace. "Nothing is going to hurt you as long as I'm here."

Ahri eyes open to the look of horror on the shadow wolfs face. Heavy banging rang through the room followed by the sound of wood cracking under pressure and a loud roar of anger.

Light brighter than the sun itself burned all the shadows away except for one. The one that was on top of Ahri was left and the look of twisted shock and fear was funny to look at.

"I told you that if you ever touched Ahri again I'll pop your head like a grape!" Ace roared.

The wolf scrambled to get off of Ahri and forced himself into the corner of the room farthest away from Ace.

Ace glowed a bright orange, her eyes a flaming blue, and the look of anger on her face.

The tiger wasted no time storming over to wolf like she did at she did in the sushi restaurant. The wolf tries to put up a fight but it was no use, Ace already her hand around his throat.

Ahri's mouth hung open as Ace threw the wolf around the room before sending him through the widow and dissipating into thin air.

The tiger huffed angrily, barring her sharp teeth. She was looked like the hulk who had just finished going on a rampage, and like the Hulk, it took her a second to settle down.

When she cooled down enough, Ace took large steps and took her spot on the bed, curling up as the big spoon and holding Ahri close to her. "I got you, Ahri. Nothings going hurt you as long as I'm here,"

Even in her dreams, Ace made Ahri blush but the good thing is that it wasn't real life Ace. So nothing was stopping Ahri's heart from beating faster as she leaned in to Ace's face, her eyes half open as she pressed her lips against the tiger's.

What she didn't know is that her actions in her dream was also happening in the real world.

Ace felt warm and refreshed when feeling Ahri's lips on hers. That meant she liked her, why else wouldn't the fox be kissing her. Right? Or was Ahri so wrapped in the dream that she didn't know what she was doing?

Ahri pulled away and nuzzled herself under Ace's chin, trying her best wrap her arms around the larger girl.

Ace stared at the fox for a little longer. On the outside she kept her composure for Ahri's sleeping sake. On the inside though, she was freaking out. She can't lie that the kiss felt good and that she wanted more, but she had to wait and see what Ahri really thinks.

So Ace thought that if she told Ahri that she had kissed last night in the morning, she'll the answer she wants. So for now, she'll get the sleep she needs.
