You didn't see your mother for the rest of the night, or the next morning for that matter. She had left for work early enough that she was gone by the time you woke up and went down to the kitchen to fix yourself some breakfast. It also meant you had to walk to school. The thought alone made you groan in annoyance. You did not feel like doing that even a little bit. Maybe you should just skip. I mean, being a senior you only had three classes today anyway, you wouldn't be missing too much. And you went every day last week, you deserved a break. With that final decision in mind, you went straight back to your room and tucked yourself back into bed.
You must have been out for a while, it was a skill you'd had since you could remember, the ability to put your head down on your pillow and immediately it was lights out for you. But it was just as easy for you to wake unfortunately, and the incessant pounding on your front door had you dragged out of your dreamscape and into reality. That wasn't fun at all. Grumbling sleepily you headed down to the front door, nearly jumping out of your skin when you opened it and saw Yoongi standing there. He sighed heavily when he saw you.
"Um, hi?" You asked. "What in gods name are you doing at my front door?" You actually shouldn't have been surprised, stalker-ish behaviour wasn't exactly out of character for Yoongi.
"Sorry, you weren't at school," he explained as if that made any kind of sense.
"Yeah, I took the day off. People do that sometimes," you frowned. He had come all this way, interrupted you from your slumber, just to tell you that you weren't at school.
"Yeah, I know, I'm sorry, I just- I was worried okay." He looked awfully flustered and the sight of it had you pushing down a smirk.
"Yoongi, I wasn't at school, I didn't die or anything." Well that was debatable after finding out you were half-vampire.
"I know, I know, its just that... you're my first assignment. And I don't want to screw it up," he admitted and looked away guiltily. You laughed at that.
"Aw, little old man gets concerned the moment he can't see me. How cute," you teased and he scowled at you. "Well, I'm fine, tired and begrudged that you woke me up, but I'm fine. You can go back now," you shooed him off but he didn't budge.
"Yeah right, I only go to that stupid place 'cause I need to watch you, I'm certainly not going back if you aren't there," he scoffed and before you could stop him he pushed past you and into your house.
"Hey!" You called but he kept going in. "What are you doing?" You shut the front door and followed after him as he inquisitively looked over everything in your house.
"Well, if I can't watch over you at school then I'll watch over you here." You stood there bemused for a second.
"What the hell kind of trouble am I going to get into in my own in my house?" You asked and he shrugged.
"I don't know, you could trip and hit your head on the bathtub or something." You looked at him deadpanned, seriously wondering if he was kidding or not.
"So, you're babysitting me now?" You asked. Maybe you should have just gone to school today. Sounded a lot less dramatic.
"I've only got the six hours a day at school to look after you, I'm not wasting them today just because you aren't there," he explained but you weren't having any of it. You were really looking forward to a day of isolation. Now you were looking forward punching Yoongi in the stomach.
"Am I going to have to expect this every time I don't go to school?" You asked and Yoongi shrugged, but you could clearly tell that was a yes, Yoongi was now going to be an overbearing presence. "God, you're being a bit of a Tamani right now, can't say I'm vibing with it." He tilted his head to the side, eyebrows scrunched in confusion at what you just said but didn't ask any questions.
