I Know I Sound Crazy - Min Yoongi x Reader (Vampire AU)

Chapter 11

"Okay, so how are we going to start this." All eight of you were currently standing in a circle in the middle of the room, everyone's eyes poised in your direction.

"I'm... not quite sure," you said slowly, "I want to see what the hell it is I can do, but I also don't know how."

"Just do what you did last time, and see if that leads anywhere," Yoongi suggested and you nodded, "just don't push yourself too far this time."

You closed your eyes again and brought about some of the focus you had last time you tried this. You weren't sure if it was because you had developed further into your vampirism in the last week, or if what you did last time had helped a bit, but this time it was much easier to seek out all the boys individually. With only a little bit of focus you were able to discern everybody's individual presence, hearing the heartbeats in Tae, Jungkook and Jimin, and sensing that darkness in the others. An idea popped into your mind.

"Try shuffling around, I'll see if I can follow your movement." You kept your eyes closed and held onto that focus so as not to lose sense of their presence. At your words the boys did move around, the sounds of their scuffling feet would have been enough indication if you hadn't been able to sense it yourself. It was a little harder to sense them properly when they crossed in front of each other, but with a little more focus you had tapped right back into it, and could tell who was who and standing where. "Namjoon, Jimin, Hoseok, Jin, Jungkook, Taehyung... and Yoongi didn't move." Still with your eyes closed, you pointed to each of the boys, identifying who was who in the circle. That had them all gasping in surprise.

"What if we moved to other places of the house? See how far your radar goes?" Namjoon suggested.

"Are you sure? You aren't pushing yourself too hard?" Yoongi laid a hand on your shoulder checking that you were fine.

"No, I'm fine, I'm not trying nearly as hard as I was before. Let's try it," you nodded to let Yoongi know you were okay, but didn't want to open your eyes lest you lose focus.

At that the boys scattered, except Yoongi who only took a step away. You felt their presences start to distance themselves, and it was harder to get a read on them. You walked away from where you were standing, Yoongi tentatively following behind, over to what was the strongest presence at the moment, which was Jin's. You backtracked a couple steps a few times but eventually got a read for him and walked forward, more sure this time, only to smack your nose right into a wall.

Your eyes shot open at that and your focus shattered, the presences disappearing for a second,

"Shit! That hurt!" You cried clutching your nose. Yoongi was by your side in an instant.

"Are you okay?" He asked, crouching down to your bent over form to try and see your face.

"So, I can't sense walls, only people then," you chuckled and Yoongi did too when he saw you weren't seriously hurt.

"Did you want to take a break?" He asked again. He was very eager to not let you step out of your boundaries.

"How about you take a break?" You said and poked him in the chest. "I'm here to find answers, and I was on a trail here." You shooed off his attempts to get you to stop and closed your eyes again, honing in on those presences. "It would be much more useful if you stopped nagging me like my mother and instead directed me around any obstacles in my path," you said and heard Yoongi scoff, which made you smile.

You concentrated and waited for those presences. They flickered to life in your mind, stuttering slightly as you tried to center on them further. You took that as a sign that your energy was flagging but didn't say anything to Yoongi. He would have you on your ass in a minute if you did.
