"Well, I did it!" Jiah stormed into their hideout, jumping onto their sofa and staring at the ceiling, "I did what you said to do, and I fucking hate you Jungkook!"

"Well, I did it!" Jiah stormed into their hideout, jumping onto their sofa and staring at the ceiling, "I did what you said to do, and I fucking hate you Jungkook!"

"Woah," the man replied with a weary chuckle, "Shadow, what happened at work?"

"What happened?" she groaned, "He looks at me like I just crushed his whole world, Jungkook, he hates me!"

"Shado- Jiah, you know-"

"I do! I fucking know that I can't date that man. I know that even though I might actually love him, I can't do anything about it. I know that I've chosen a world that doesn't allow for me to actually involve anybody else in my life. I fucking know all that crap, but it doesn't make it any easier!"

"I know, Jiah, I'm sorry," he sat on the coffee table in front of the couch, eyes full of worry as he looked to his best friend, "I'm so sorry."

"Can I punch you?" she sat up, motioning for him to turn around, "I need to punch something."

Jungkook rolled his eyes, annoyed that he was going to be the subject of her anger, yet again. They had done this many times before; they had made a deal that they would allow the other to use them as a punching bag when they were mad. But Jungkook never exerted that power over her. It was only the other way around.

But he obliged, turning around and she started going at it with his back. She would never have used full force, and to Jungkook this was like a mini massage, but that didn't mean he loved it.

"Have you gotten any closer with the mission, by the way, Shadow?" he asked over the monotonous sounds of her fist coming into contact with his skin.

"Today I made friends with his secretary. Leah is her name; she was actually the main receptionist, the one I met on my first day. It turns out she was actually his secretary, but he was on a six-month personal trip, so she had been reassigned to down there."

"That's a good step," he sighed, the punches getting slower and less powerful, signing that she was getting to the end of her capacity, "I wonder why they're asking you to kill him, though."

"I don't think I can," she mumbled under her breath, continuing to punch.

"What?" he asked, not hearing her correctly among all the noise.

"I don't think I can!" she said louder, agitated. "Something's wrong with me! I can't picture myself taking anyone out anymore; I just keep thinking about Taehyung's old secretary... how he was related to Taehyung, people get affected by the actions we make, Jungkook, how can we just shove all that pain onto people?"

"Diamond wasn't even close with his secretary, Shadow, that much we kno-"

"Yeah but this man I'm ordered to kill now, they seem close, they seem like friends. Taehyung trusts him, Jungkook."
