I used to scoff at the idea of ghosts and laughed when people said their house was haunted. As far as I was concerned, ghosts were just things made up to scare people.
"Either they're crazy, or just want attention!" That's what I'd think every time I heard about hauntings. No way could ghosts exist, right?
But all that changed when we moved into an old farmhouse out in the country. I was two months pregnant with our second child and had a four-year-old son.
The first night we moved in, my son Timmy let out the most horrendous scream I have ever heard! We raced to his room to find him staring at his closet door with a terrified look.
He was trembling, sobs wracking his tiny body as he stared at that door. "Scary lady! Scary lady!" Timmy sobbed. Needless to say, he refused to stay in the room.
This went on for several nights, making my husband and I frustrated and grumpy, due to sleep deprivation. We didn't know why Timmy was acting like that, or what to do.
We finally decided to make Timmy's room into the nursery and put Timmy in the room we previously chose as the nursery. It seemed to work and Timmy had no more issues after that.
Everything was fine, until about a month later when I went into the new nursery with some new baby items. I was so shocked at the sight that met my eyes, that I froze in place for a few minutes.
"Leave my home!" Was written in tiny letters on every wall, the hardwood floor, as well as the ceiling, in what looked like blood.
My husband and I were shocked but we soon figured someone must have broken in and did it to scare us. Most likely some bored teenagers playing a prank.
We put new locks on the windows thinking that would help. But a few months later, everything
in the room was destroyed. Not only that, we found claw marks on the broken furniture, as well as every surface of the room.Since the windows were still locked, we had no idea what to think. So we bought a teddy bear with a built-in camera and placed it in the room along with some toys, then closed the door.
Some time later, we awoke to what sounded like growling and snarling coming from the nursery. We ran to the room to see a demon-like creature, throwing the toys around in fury!
It had long hair and wore a dress. With long, sharp teeth and claws, its eyes glowing bright red as it turned to look at us with evident hatred.
We later found out that a woman who lived there had been killed by her husband and no one has been able to live there for more than a year since.
We left that night leaving all our belongings behind, but I think it followed us. Two nights ago we began hearing low growling and scratching sounds coming from under our bed.
