Jake:
Erika and Ellie have been here for a couple hours. Ellies and Jax are with Anthony playing outside and Erikas in with me talking about her childhood but surprisingly she hasnt mentioned any of her family. Oh and its starting to get dark so Im thinking about letting them stay over in the spare room. Tana shouldnt be home till tomorrow afternoon hopefully anyway.
I then remember that only Ellie had, had a sandwhich but that was all. I looked up at her, "Would you like to have something to eat?" She looked over at the window where she could see Ellie, "Well, I was thinking that it was about time to head back home?" I shake my head and she looks at me confused. "I was thinking instead of driving an hour back that you and Ellie could take the spare room and have a sleepover."
"What about your girlfriend? Wouldnt she freak out?" she questions without thinking about it. "She wont be home till at least tomorrow afternoon." After I mutter, "I hope."
She looks up from the window and looks as though shes thinking about saying the correct thing. "Do you wish she was here?" few she didnt hear what I muttered. "To be honest, I dont." She looks at me shocked and confused. So I carry on, "I mean, shes always home and when she is, she argues with my bestfriends, basically telling them that Ive told her to tell them that 'You're not welcome here anymore."
"why- I know this isnt my place to say, I havent even met the girl but, Why dont you dump her?" I look down at the counter and fiddle with my fingers. "Trust me, Ive thought about it, its just I wont have anyone to laugh with, to cry with and most of all to cuddle with." She lifts my head up with her index finger and middle finger and just the that makes me feel better, "That shouldnt matter, it should be your friends and family first before anything, especially if shes ruining the relationship between you and the people shes doing this to." I think about what shes said and to be honest shes got a point. But at this point theres only one thing I want to say to her, but I cant, its too soon. That was when I heard the front door open and I felt Erikas hand fly off me. I look round to the door and its Tana. She has a cheeky smile spread across her face and just that tells me shes up to something. I glance over at Erika and roll my eyes, she fake smiles and says, "Im gonna go outside with Ellie for a while." I could already feel tension between them. Tana walks over and sits on my lap, which she knows I hate but does it anyway. "Who was that?" She says as she changes her face to serious. "Shes a friend I made, her names Erika." She looks away annoyed, "I dont like her."
"Tana, your just met her." She looks back at me even more annoyed, "Thats NOT my name." I roll my eyes and look away from her. I lift her off me and walk out to Erika, Ellie, Jax and Anthony. Anthony looks surprised when he sees me. "You escape your cage?" I walk over to where Jax is sat playing and sit next to him, "Shes just pissing me off." I look up to Erika. She shakes her head at me while tutting. It kind of makes me feel like a child again. "Whys Erika treating you like a mum?" Me and Erika look over at Anthony at the same time. "Because I just basically gave Jake a lecture about keeping Tana in first place before anyone else and not dumping her. But apparently its changed nothing." Ellie waddles over and sits on my lap and says, "You should listen to mummy, trust me, shes scary when shes angry." I giggle and give Ellie a tight hug. Ellie grabs 3 race cars and explains, "SO, listen to me." She looks at me serious. I nod. She grabs the race car with the number 1 on the front, "This is Jax, the car with the number one." She grabs the car with the number 2 on, "All of your family is in the car with the number two." She then grabs the car with a number 3, "and all of your friends are in the car with the number three." I look at her confused. "Where's Tanas car?" She points at a car thats upside down no where near us, "Shes over there, she crashed. So your in the crowd cheering for Tana and when Tana crashes, how do you feel?"
"I feel crushed, broken." She screams in my ear, "INCORRECT."
"Ellie, that was too loud," Erika says telling Ellie off. "Sorry, your relieved, happy that she DIDNT win the race that Jax did instead." I look down at Jax and see him smiling back at me. I smile at him and go back to listening to Ellie. "You rush over to Jax and cheer for him, scream for him and you spend the rest of the day out with the ones you love NOT the ones you-" Tana walks out. She looks angry. Ellie looks around to Tana and innocently says, "Hi." She doesnt change her expression or say anything. I decide to tell her off, "Oi, Ellie spoke to you. Dont be rude." She looks down at Ellie, frowns and say, "Hey child."
"Thank you," I reply. She shakes her head and walks in the pools direction. I look up at Erika in a proud of myself way. She nods her head with her thumbs up. I smile at her as Ellie nervously climbs off my lap. I grab Ellies hip and drag her back towards me. I start tickling her and she starts laugh-screaming. In the corner of my eye I can see Erika laughing at us and honestly it melts my heart. Ive never really felt this feeling that I feel when she smile or laughs before.
