Unlikely Allies (Ninjago Season 11)

Chapter 14: Lloyd VS Zane

Back in the Castle of Ice, Lloyd, Kataru, and Grimfax are continuing to sneak around the Ice Emperor's domain, trying to find General Vex's corrupted shard of ice to destroy it. But, Lloyd was anxious...The crystal was said to be all seeing. What stopped Vex from watching them right now?

"You're sure he's not watching us?" Lloyd asked.

Grimfax turned his head to Lloyd. "Like I said, if he were watching jus through the crystal, we wouldn't have gotten this far." But as he spoke, he heard sudden marching and took out his axe to suddenly see General Vex and an army of Blizzard Samurai behind him, weapons in hand.

Vex smirked at them. "You were saying?"

Lloyd takes out his sword while Kataru activates his Formling abilities and transforms into his bear form. As they all prepare to fight, Grimfax pushes Lloyd back. "RUN!!"

"But, we have to stay together!!" Lloyd exclaimed.

"No! You must awaken your friend or all is lost! We will hold them back as long as we can!!! NOW, GO!!!" Grimfax cries out and charges at the army of Blizzard Samurai with Kataru lunging at them.

Lloyd throws on his ninja hood and then runs to The Ice Emperor's Throne Room. He runs for what seems like forever, the Castle of Ice seeming like a never ending maze. Once he finally sees an entrance to the Throne Room, he whips around a corner, but ends up meeting the four Blizzard Swordsman, who point their blades at The Green Ninja.

They charge at The Green Ninja, but Lloyd slashes his sword against theirs, practically shattering them. He chuckles and then shoots out two beams of energy from his fists, taking them out and turning them into broken shards of ice. He then quickly dashes to the entrance of the Throne Room and kicks the door down to suddenly see something mind blowing...

The Ice Emperor had Akita beneath his feet, her hand frozen to the floor, and he had his scepter pointed at her neck, the blade of his staff glowing a light blue, preparing to freeze his friend.

Lloyd growled and gripped his sword. "It's time we finish this, Zane!!!"

The Ice Emperor and Akita turned. Akita went wide eyed to see Lloyd, while The Ice Emperor simply growled at the stranger in green.

'Zane...?' Akita thought, looking at The Ice Emperor and then at Lloyd. Zane was the person he was looking for, his brother...Lloyd was seeking to rescue The Ice Emperor.

The Ice Emperor growled. "MY NAME...IS NOT...ZANE!!!"

"Yes, it is! And you're gonna remember it!" Lloyd yelled, walking in front of Akita. "Even if I have to pound it through your thick nindroid skull!"

"You...know the emperor?" Akita asked, shocked that the person he was looking for was The Ice Emperor.

Lloyd turned to Akita. "He's not an emperor. He's my friend! He's the one I'm here to rescue! It's hard to explain, but I can't let you hurt him, Akita."

Akita growled and quickly broke her hand out of the ice. "My will is not yours to command!!!" She shouted, running at The Ice Emperor, but Lloyd quickly tried to push her back.

"Akita, no! This isn't the way! You're letting your anger control you!" Lloyd cried out.

Akita tried pushing Lloyd away from her. "Stand aside, Lloyd! Or fall with him!!!"

"I won't let you hurt Zane!" Lloyd said before suddenly being swatted away by The Ice Emperor.

"THERE IS NO ZANE!!!!" The Ice Emperor roared. He turned to Akita and slammed his scepter into her face and then knocked her aside. He pointed his staff at her, the blade of his scepter glowing blue, ready to freeze her.
