As I search for Hero's number in my contacts I think to myself maybe he just asked me to Prom as a friend because he knows nobody would ever ask me.
"Hello", Hero said blissfully.
"Hey I just called because I want to say thank you for asking me to Prom".
"It's okay".
"So how was your trip home".
"I love you".
The words that I just heard came out in a small whisper so maybe I didn't hear what he actually said.
"What", I say with a dazed voice.

As I collapse onto my bed that isn't made I begin to feel a little heart broken. She didn't hear what I said even though I whispered it, surely it's not that hard to hear or was it and did I just hang up for no reason.
