Emma

I open my eyes to blinding white light. I look around, confused as to where I am, but then I see Emmet and Jackson sleeping, Emmet's head on Jacksons shoulder. Jackson was drooling, and I can't wait for Emmet to wake up and see it.

"Emma! Good morning sweetie! How'd you sleep?" Lisa walks over to me, handing me a cup of water that I drink quickly.

"I slept fine," I shiver a bit as the dream comes back to me, but continue, "thank you Lisa. How did you sleep? I know those hospital chairs aren't that comfortable." I nod over to them, and she laughs, nodding too.

"They're not that bad. I've had worse." She puts a hand on my shoulder, and smiles at me.

"Well, your parent's had to leave this morning, because they both had work. But your brothers both stayed, along with me and Alex." She smiles, looking over at Alex, who is curled in a ball on the chair, looking very uncomfortable, but appearing to be fine.

"That's okay... I'm just happy they came at all." I smile up at her and she nods.

"I'm happy you found them Emma."

"I am too."

"I want to get her something to eat! I'll pick out something better!" Jackson yells at Emmet, who laughs.

"Doubt it! She probably wants me to go get her food, right Em?" Emmet smiles over at me, and Jackson looks over, mouth gaping.

"Guys," I laugh "Alex went to get me something before you woke up..." I smile, and they both complain.

"Aww man!" Jackson says, pouting in his chair. "She would have picked me." He sticks his tongue out at Emmet, who just laughs.

Lisa had to leave, because she had to go back to the shop. Alex had taken a day off to stay with me, no matter how much I insisted that he didn't.

As they continue to bicker back and forth, Alex opens to door, a plate and 4 coffees in his hands and arms.

He walks over to me, handing me the plate. On it laid two steaming pancakes with syurp covering them, and three strips of bacon. Looking down at the food, I realized how hungry I was.

"Thank you." I smile, and he smiles back, nodding and setting a cup of coffee on the small table next to my bed.

He walks around, handing a coffee to both of the twins and keeping the last one for himself.

"So, how'd everyone sleep?" I smile, taking a bite of the pancakes.

All of the boys let out a loud groan, making me laugh.

"These chairs aren't the most comfortable. Especially when Emmet had his legs stretched over my body the whole night!" Jackson sighs, and Emmet laughs.

"I wasn't comfortable either!" He argues, and Jackson laughs. "You were surely more comfortable than I was!"

I laugh as they continue to bicker, noticing that they seem to do this a lot. I look over to Alex and find him already looking at me, a small smile on his face.

"You okay?" I ask, and his eyes grow wide before he quickly looks down at his coffee.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just good to see you awake, that's all." He says before taking a small sip of his coffee.

I nod, looking down at the plate in my lap and taking one of the pieces of bacon, taking small bites of it as silence fell over the room.

It wasn't an uncomfortable silence, it felt more like a peaceful moment of quiet. Everyone was drinking their coffees, and Emmet and Jackson were still bickering back and forth in hushed voices.
